I love this school. I've been there for two years now and its helped me catch up on school that I missed while I was sick for a long time, and more. I'm a grade ahead of where I should be. It requires self discipline and motivation to get your classes done, which makes it unsuitable for some kids, but if you have a goal to achieve, its perfect. Crossroads saved my high school career!

Crossroads is a new focus school, which actually is intended for credit recovery. As with any new school, there are going to be some bugs to fix and you can not expect a perfect school in the second year. The principal is doing the best she can, considering the students she has to work with. As far as the parent involvement, I am a parent and I volunteer there every week doing the yearbook and I am also the PTO president. Yes, this is the first year for the yearbook or for the PTO, because up until this year, the school was only for the four core classes. Like I said there are bugs to fix and they are taking them as they come. The teachers are wonderful there also. My son love it at Crossroads and without it, who knows where he would be.

There are a two good caring male teachers at this school however the other teachers do not take a vested interest in the students and seem frustrated with the profession as well as with the district. The main Principal became ill last year 2nd semester and any improvements that she was promising never happened it only got worst! The students use computer based programs that seem to need updating- hardly a proper base for university prep. Student discipline is terrible- students left unsupervised and often involved in various levels of confusion (including arguments and fights). A big disappointment. Parent involvement is not encouraged. Don't waste your time like I did!
