Terrible school. My son says no disipline, trouble makers can get away with anything becasue all the teacher can do is yell at them. No detention ever. Does not like the food. They do not even have a football team, or fields to play on. Playground is all rocks and dirt, no grass or trees. Teachers seem ok but always to busy to talk to you or call email you back. Hardly any homework but test test test all the time. No book reading assignments or writing papers. Seems like day care mostly. Very dissapointed.

I like this school because the facility is keep clean and the Principal cares about the the safety of every student, gets involved and listens to the parents. The nurse is always helpful, courteous and on campus for any emergency that might arise.

We have moved to Las Vegas .. Im impressed and sorry that my kids missed out on two years of a good education while living in Mohave Valley ...I recommend home school or moving to Clark County to get your kids educated. As a former teacher there at MVJH - I can accurately say it was the worst experience for my children and I.

Mohave Valley Jr. High school has experienced leadership and faculty. The curriculum covers the Arizona State Standards. Exploratory and after school activities are plentiful to keep children active and interested. All students are treated fairly and work hard. The teachers always are working with parents and children to help with all children's academic success. My children love school and have lots of fun at school every day.

My daughter is a current student here, and I can tell you that the academic programs are not designed to capture the children's attention and imagination or draw them into their core subjects. The only thing they're capturing is the mighty dollar from the government subsidies and contaminating the past efforts of great teaching. Sure they offer Music, Sports and the like but who could do any of that when the teachers bombard the students with hours and hours of homework that, in my opinion should have been taught in class. Parent involvement only when it's to late!

I personally think from being a former student the school staff is very understanding and helping students. some of the teaches I personally thoght were the best re Mrs. Supra, Mrs. Trieff,Ms. Mitchell, Mr. hanser, the 7th grade science teacher of 2005 - 2006.

The quality of academic programs is an absolute disgrace. The papers my son have turned in and recieved an 'A' on shocks me. The students are treated like inmates. School is supposed to be a warm and positive environment...if you are looking for this - keep on going - this is not the place for you. When my son goes to college, he will be in a world of trouble because he will in no way, shape or form be prepared - which is why we are forced to leave. Extracirricular activities? What is that? They don't even have cheerleading for the girls. There is no football, golf or tennis offered among many other things. There is also very little parent involvement. Overall, this school is a very big dissapointment.
