Lake View Elementary School

Though I admire and appreciate all of the teachers who have taught my children for the last 6 years, to be honest, I feel the curriculum is 'dumbed-down.' Also, after picking up the kids, I ask 'what did you guys do today?' And many times it is 'we watched 'The Lion King' or some other movie. Heck, we can do that at home. Unfortunenatly, I agree with some of the negative comments already posted. I just wish for some improvement, mostly by the students temseves. home.

I personally don't feel that Lake View is going downhill at all. Of course there is change when principals switch, but I have been impressed with the fairness, openness, and compassion of the new principal. Not that she's exactly new; it's her third year. If teachers leave in the next few years, it could be because more than half of them oare retiring! Overall, I'm pleased with the education being provided. The students are excited to learn and the teachers are helpful.

I agree that Lake View is going down hill. I've had at least 1 child enrolled there for the past 7 years and have 2 there now. The new principle seems to be moving in a direction that neither the parents of the teachers are happy with. I'm afraid they will lose some really great teachers in the next few years because they are just unhappy with the principal's policies.

I not at all impressed with Lake View. I feel the principal is very race motivated and gears alot of school activites towards a certain group of children. Each year my child attends seems to be worse then the last.

I think Lake View Elementary is the best. They have a very friendly staff and really appriciate the parents that get involved.
