Our Cross of Glory School has been such a blessing too our family. The Christian teachers, the smiles, the love is in the air. They offer a wide curriculum including sports and music. I actually was led to join this Church by taking my grandaughter to school there and seeing just what they had to offer.

Cross of Glory Lutheran School is helping us as parents build a strong Christ centered foundation for our children. Our three children are thriving in their relationship with God and in their academics. The small class size allows for more individualized attention and strong parent/teacher communication. We did try another school and we were not as pleased as we are at Cross of Glory. We enjoy getting to interact with the children and all of their fun activities as well as getting to know the teachers, who really do want to be there teaching the children. We highly recommend this school!!!

If you are looking for a Christ Centered School this is the place to send your children. My son has been coming here for 2 years and We love the small class sizes, the teachers and staff are very encouraging and helpful. I would recommend this school, it is worth every penny!!

I love teaching at Cross of Glory because the environment is a teacher's dream. I know all of my students extremely well due to small class sizes, and because of the multi-grade classrooms, you develop that relationship over a few years. And while we take standardized tests, and work hard with the students to be successful, we do not have the pressure many public schools do. So I I'm not forced to teach my students to be mere test-takers. I can teach them to be leaders, thinkers, problem-solvers, and Christian men and women.

After reviewing my seventh week as the new principal here at Cross of Glory, I am reminded once again of the many blessings that our school enjoys. We truly offer an education that can't be found anywhere else! We offer multi-grade classrooms--a practice supported by much research and experience as an educational best practice. We can individualize education for our students because of our low student/teacher ratio. We meet Common Core standards. We use cooperative and experiential education which give students a chance to practice critical and other higher order thinking skills. We have a very comprehensive and competitive athletics program that now includes the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)...and much more! When you take all of what I have already mentioned and couch it in an environment that fosters a love of the Lord through a consistent study and application of his word to all aspects of our lives, you have a combination that literally can not be beat!! Praise God for putting us all here together! Let's bring more people in to our environment by letting everyone we know about the unique environment that we offer!

As a member of the church for 14 years and being around the school, I am grateful for God's great blessings all around! I have had the great opportunity to watch so many of these children grow from even before they were in school. Having 2 older kids who were in public schools, I always wished this school was open for them. I now help these kids with their homework and am so impressed by each one of them! They are not only learning what public schools learn, but they get the added blessing of learning about their savior! I think it's great that they have multi grade classrooms and these kids are growing and learning together! These are Godly bonds that can never be broken! Thank you Cross of Glory for inspiring our great youth to be great leaders of our Lord! We absolutely have the best teachers and staff around! God sure knew what He was doing when He built this school.

Children receive decent grades while attending Cross of Glory. The unfortunate side of an educational system structured in this way is that you have to stay in it to be "successful". This can be evidenced by how far behind students are, as compared to their peers, once they leave to attend another school. Students will leave, struggle at their new school, and then return back to the easier setting. If you want your child to learn about God, absolutely a good choice. If you want your child to learn how to think (critical thinking) instead of what to think (memory work/worksheets), this school is probably not your best option. BASIS or Candeo are the best schools in this area. It also looks like a "drive" of some kind was done on 8/26-8/27 based on the high scores posted recently.

Our family's experience with Cross of Glory Lutheran School has been God sent and we value everyday that we are able to be a part of the glorious education process. We began our eldest son here in kindergarten and now he is in 4th grade as well as our 2 daughters in 2nd grade and Preschool. The caring teachers have all been called by our Lord to be extremely giving and helpful leaders. We are blessed to have this Christian school here in northwest Peoria that provides a multi level teaching technique that fits my children perfect.

I want all to know that Cross of Glory has the best staff ever!! They all are so friendly and caring and excited to be there! My kids love it there and are forming lasting friendships. They come home singing songs about Jesus and are eager to tell others the Good News!! As opposed to other reviews, I feel that my kids are very challenged academically and are responding positively in this environment.

We have had a wonderful experience at Cross of Glory. Our children have attended for the last 6 years. They are all doing great. The student/teacher ratio is low and the staff is very caring. I know they are in a safe positive environment every times they are there.

Cross of Glory Lutheran school teachers are amazing they make themselves available to parents even after hours. For them teaching is not just a job it is a calling. They bring their all to their classrooms, by getting creative and thinking out side of the box. Due to Cross of Glory's class size they are able to offer more one on one and customize lessons if needed. Recently they have added sports programs to their extra curriculum program. Mr. and Mrs. Springborn bring a phenomenal experience in the fine art department which has added even more benefits of being a Cross of Glory student.

Our children are new to Cross of Glory this year. My wife and I both have more than 15 years of public school teaching experience, and we have been very pleased with the dynamic and differentiated instruction. The teachers and staff display great commitment, vision, work ethic, and empathy on a daily basis. The Christian education may be the most impressive aspect of Cross of Glory, as the lessons, songs, and memory work pour out of our children at home. We were looking for a school that does everything to the glory of God, and we seem to have found it.

Our children attended this school for several years until this school year. They had excellent grades while at Cross of Glory, but now struggle in their new school on basic math facts and study habits. They do a great job of teaching Bible lessons but the academics are seriously lacking. The work that came home each night was far too easy for children at their grade level. There were also instances when the principal/teacher became angry with children and belittled them in front of classmates. He even went as far as telling my child that our beliefs were incorrect, even though we are Christians, as is the school. We now have to spend a lot of time outside of school catching the children up on basic math and spelling that they should have mastered. The school also has a very lax discipline policy. My child was hurt by 2 children and I met with the principal and teacher, yet nothing was done. I didn't feel that it was a safe environment. I'm upset that I paid for tuition at this school.

Cross of Glory is a Lutheran school and preschool with multi-age classrooms. The teachers are available before and after class to talk, which I think is great because many schools these days don't provide that but instead have a drop off system. Their biblical teachings are a wonderful benefit to what we provide to our child at home, however, because of the small class sizes I have higher standards of the educational teachings that should be offered.

We have two children here and COG has had a good impact on their early childhood development. The class sizes are much set than most schools which makes it easier for the kids to learn. The chance for our children to learn about God at young age is very rewarding!

When starting preschool for my 3 year old we wanted a school that wasn't only strong academically but also Biblically and spiritually. This school is outstanding and my son would love to go everyday but is only in the two day a week class. Mrs. Underwood is more than we could ask for in a teacher. She is a wonderful, loving and enthusiastic teacher. So thankful our friends told us about this school.

We were very fortunate to find this school two years ago for our two children. Our children had previously attended another christian school prior to coming to Cross of Glory and the difference between schools in incomparble. The curriculum, staff, teachers, and leadership is without compare. We highly recommend tis school to all of our friends looking for a christian based school.

If there was a "10 Star" rating this school would be a "10". The teachers, staff, and principal are genuinely concerned about the emotional, educational and spiritual well being of each child. The classes are small and classrooms well ventilated. Parents are welcome anytime and you can even park and walk your young child into the classroom. Teachers are available for discussions, no appointments necessary. There are no hidden agendas. What a positive difference COG has made in my grandson's experiences at school. He has regained his self-esteem and loves to go to school. Thank you Cross of Glory. You truly offer the kind of experience a child should have in school. I am so thankful my daughter was led to COG. . I only wish it could have been from the beginning instead of 2nd grade.

My child has attended Cross of Glory for 2 years now and I cannot be more pleased. The school has an excellent staff on board and teachers that are extremely dedicated to their students. The cirriculum that is used is far advanced beyond the public schools. I love the fact that it is a biblical based program. I would highly recommend this school. It is well worth the cost.

I am so blessed to have found COG. This is my son's first year there and everyone is like family to us. His teacher is spectacular. The entire staff is caring, dedicated, and nurturing. The second you walk through the front door you are greeted with a warm smile and accepting attitude and it just gets better from there. Under the leadership of an amazing principal, my son is learning God's Word every day. The academic curriculum is presented in a sensible meaningful way. The homework is pertinent and reasonable. There are no politics running amuck and no ulterior motives, just beautiful teachers who really care about teaching your child. You are welcome in the classroom at anytime. With small class sizes, 15 in my son's, the students receive lots of personal attention. As a parent you will be at ease with how approachable everyone is. I actually get to walk my 2nd grader to his class everyday. It's a great way to start the morning...a hug and a quick kiss. My only regret is not choosing this school from the beginning. My son now enjoys school and we both have made life long friends. We love Cross of Glory and you will too.

Although the Biblical teaching and Christian education at this school are great, the academics are lacking. If you are looking for a challenging cirruculum this is not the school for you. The class sizes are small but does not allow for students who are excelling to move on. They do no standardized testing so there is no way to compare how the children are performing in relation to other students in the area. There is also no specific disciplinary plan or a cut and dry behavior expectation which has caused problems in the elementary class this year. The school is also small and has limited space and resources and lacks programs such as Spanish, Art and PE. The teachers are caring and approachable and do the best with limited experience and resources.

The preschool, PK, and kindergarden program at this school are good. Both the preschool and kindergarten teachers are enthusiastic, caring and experienced. They genuinely care about their students and communicate well with the parents. The kindergarten class size is around 15 so your child will get the attention they need, The biblical teaching is a bonus and taught in a way the kids really grasp.

While looking for a school that would be a great fit for our family, I came across Cross of Glory and instantly felt at home. The teachers are very caring and I love the multi-grade classroom which has many benefits. I love that spiritual lessons are taught throughout the core curriculum and the teachers don't simply teach to the AIMS test.

Wow! From the moment I enrolled my child into this school she has surprised me everyday with her academic achievements. As a parent I am thrilled to see her grow spiritually as well as academically. There is nothing more rewarding to see a child develop good character and learn to interact in a fun and loving atmosphere. This school is by far the best I have enrolled my daughter in to. I am so thankful for the wonderful staff and sweet children that encourage my child to grow into a little lady.

We have been part of the COG family for almost 5 years now, starting with our oldest in preschool. We now have 3 of our 4 children attending school there. We can't say enough great things about COG. The teachers and staff are amazing people who truly love to teach! It is the most comforting feeling knowing that our children are not only being taught with Christian values, but that they are truly loved by their teachers. We feel blessed to be a part of COG and can't say thankyou enough for the amazing Christian education our children are receiving!

My son has attended Cross of Glory since preschool. He is recieving a Christ-centered education from caring, compassionate and amazing teachers! The small class sizes offer more one on one time with each student and the multi-grade classroom lets him advance as needed. I am so greatful to have found a school that both my son and I love. I hope the school continues to thrive and grow!

Cross of Glory is a great school for your kids to get the attention they need to support learning at their pace with the multi-grade classrooms. The kids have learned and improved their skills in an environment where the viewpoint is from the Biblical worldview. Rating will be higher as the school grows and is able to upgrade their facilities to support necessary additional growth.

When looking for a preschool for my daughter, I wanted a place that would focus on both the academics & the socalization. Cross of Glory has gone above & beyond my expectations in both! My daughter is in the K4 program & not only is she reading & doing basic math (among other things) but she is also receiving a Christian education. Her teacher is loving & patient & she loves going to school. I couldn't ask for more from a school.

I have sent 3 kids for a total of 4 years to COG. I wanted help raising spiritually guided kids and I got that and so much more. My girls started off so shy and quiet and now have blossomed socially, academically and spiritually. They have a love for school and learning that came from the preschool teachers. I am forever grateful for the experience we had at this school.

My child attended the K4 program this year and I am extremely pleased. The teacher is loving and kind to the kids and friendly and responsive to the parents. In addition, the academics were great! My preschooler learned to read within the first half of the year and loves going to school. The kids attend fun field trips and are exposed to music and art in class. I have 2 older children who attended preschool elsewhere and this program was by far the most superior. I highly recommend this school.

My son is in preschool at COG and we love it! His teachers are the kindest, warmest people you could ever know. My oldest son has attended Cross of Glory since Preschool. When choosing this school it was important for my children to have a Christ-centered education; however, I am receiving that and so much more. My children love their school and teachers, as well as I do. The small class sizes and personnal attention they receive has help to encourage my children to do their best. They are in a caring and nurturing environment and are learning life lessons with everything they learn about our Savior. I have the best of bothe worlds wrapped up in this gem of a school.

When choosing a school for my daughter, it was most important for her to have a place to grow and learn at her pace, and not at the pace of everyone else in the classroom. The multi-grade classroom has allowed my kindergartner to shine in the areas where she has strengths (already reading at a 2nd-3rd grade level) and get the extra attention where she needs it most. The staff at CoG are world class, and are always taking the time to explain the curriculum and teaching methods to the parents, and showing positive results through their students. It is also a comfort to know that because this is a school that emphasizes Christ, my daughter is being instilled with the proper values and is around quality children whose parents share the same values that we do. I would recommend this school to anyone who values their child's education or future.

I have 2 children in this school and we are members of the church. This school has been wonderful for my boys. They have a lot of one on one with the teacher and in my opinion get one on one with God as well. The teachers are a caring and christ focused couple who have really made this school what it is. My husband and I are very happy with the curriculum and the progress our kids have made through the years.

My daughter is currently going to preschool at COG and it is great! From the moment I walked into the school last year while researching preschools, I knew this is where she would go. The teachers, both preschool and grade school, are great! Not only do they work with the children on the general age level, they also individually work with the children on their level which further fosters their education. Next year, my daughter will be attending their Pre-K program. Most importantly, my daughter loves going to school everyday. Much thanks to COG!

This school is excellent. I love to know my children are under the instruction of teachers/staff are not satisfied with just meeting standards, but exceeding them. They understand how to foster a love for learning. It is apparent that they exist to make a lasting and positive impact on children, instead of just earning a paycheck. And i am amazed how much of God's word they read, understand and apply. My children have been thriving since they have been here.

We are very pleased with our decision to have our children attend COG. My daughter has attended since preschool and has learned concepts at a much earlier age than my son did in public school so we transferred my son over to join her. There is a strong emphasis on math concepts and reading skills. The staff is a wonderful group of caring people, who welcome parent involvement and participation in the classroom. The children are all friendly and well behaved. Good behavior and random acts of kindness are rewarded at this school. We were not originally seeking a Christian School but are so glad with what we found here at COG.I cannot say enough good things about the school itself. The best thing would be that my children are happy, well rounded individuals who are getting a high quality education.
