To the parent relocating from NY to AZ - We have our teenagers on a variance attending Centennial HS. They have been @ CeHS for two years and have had a wonderful experience. While no school is perfect, we have found that this HS does have exceptional school spirit, there are teachers who are passionate about teaching and there are good and bad counselors. I would highly recommend this HS. As far as the elementary schools you questioned, I am not familiar with either. Good luck!

I am relocating from NY to AZ in June of 2013. The house I am looking at is in this district. I have two boys that would be going to this HS. Is it as good as these rating say? Any thoughts? Also, my little one would be slotted for Peoria Elementary. Is that any good? I saw better reviews for Park Ridge. Any thought?
i have been going to this school since 9th grade, i am now a senior, this school is one of the worst i've ever been too, the teachers/staff don't care. They're rude and disrespectful and don't care about the students. they do not inforce bullying policies or any policies for that matter. i would not recomend this school

I love Centennial! I am a freshman here and it's amazing. The school spirit is wonderful, everybody loves it here, and the teachers/faculty are great. As far as I can see, there is no bullying and most people just mind their own business. The entire school gets decorated on Fridays for Varsity football games. The games are fun, too! I've been to every freshman and varsity game and we've won all of them so far(: All of the athletics and facilities are great, and the same for academics. I'm taking all honors classes and the teachers are great. If you are looking for a school to send your child to, I would definitely recommend Centennial, whether you're looking for athletics or academics. Go Coyotes!!

I AGREE I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE COUNSELING DEPARTMENT. I ASKED FOR GUIDANCE IN ORDER TO GET MY DAUGHTER READY FOR HONORS CLASSES AND THE COUNSELOR ACTED LIKE SHE WAS NOT INTERESTED. IT'S REALLY DISAPPOINTING WHEN THEY'RE SUPPOSE TO HELP YOUR CHILDREN GET PREPARED FOR COLLEGE AND THE COUNSELOR OFFERS NO GUIDANCE OR ENTHUSIASM.

I am so dissapointed in this school. The counseling department is a huge dissapointment. It seems they only help the students that are in sports or really high acheivers. Therre is alck of leadership under this current prinipal. my husband and I are both teachers and are just so dissapointed on how the "average" students get treated. The head of the math department should be fired! My daughter and her friends over heard one of the math teachers calling her students "her little retards" She was teaching a year long math class. so inappropriate and unprofessional.

Centennial offered exceptional educational and social experiences for my daughter. Drama and Band provided to be positive influences in her life and I'm sad to hear the band instructor is being replaced with someone part time. He had great camaraderie with the students genuinely enjoyed his job and was committed to the students. I was impressed with all of her teachers at Centennial. I know she got a quality education that will aid her at NAU this year.

Both of my children have attended CEHS and I can say as an educator and a parent, that I am very pleased with the majority of their teachers and coursework. The support staff is amazing and so helpful as well. Both of my children exceeded the standards in all content areas on AIMS and that is a reflection of the rigorous instruction they have been exposed to at CEHS. The athletic programming is an added "feather in the cap" to an excellent institution.!

Two of my daughters go here one is going ot be a senior and the other is going to be a sophmore. Ever since moving to this school they have been more than excited to go to school every single day. They enjoy the help of the teachers and love the fact that the school is very safe and attentive to their needs.

Our eldest graduated last year (2008) from Centennial and our youngest is a current student. I absolutely love this high school and i think my standards are high. Both our boys attended private elementary education and i have been more than pleased with the smooth transition they have made and the excellent academic instruction they are receiving. I also like the positive changes the principal has made over the years to enhance learning (small learning groups) and ease of incoming freshman. Our youngest even begged us not to move so he could attend this school! We agreed, wow if a teen can be this hyped up over a school they must be doing something right. Keep up the good work Peoria Centennial and go coyotes!!

I am a former student from this school, and I must say, this school was absolutely incredible. The teachers and other staff that were on that campus completely brightened my day when I attended class or walked about. They were always helpful to make sure I had understood something that was taught. Some of the teachers I've had for more than two years in a row. This school is well worth it, they even helped me get the job I have now through their CTE program!
Former student, and man I am going to miss it. This school really was amazing, and I couldn't complain one little bit about it. The teachers are helping and supportive, and their just amazing teachers along with the principal and just school outlook!
Great school, great extracirricular activities, wonderful staff. The school spirit is just great!

This school is the best school! The teachers and staff try to get every student involved in activities and have great parent involvement. I attended this high school all 4 years and enjoyed every minute of it.

This is a great school with rigorous student educational expectations. The Centennial staff strive to keep parents/students informed of opportunities available. The school board is rational and responsive to parent and community concerns.

I think Centennial is a great school. We intentionally moved into the district so that my children could attend this school. I have one graduated in 07, and one Junior and one Freshman. The teachers are great. There's a lot of school spirit. And I love using the ISIS program to stay informed.

At first the school seemed amazingly great in quality and the overall involvement of the principals, teachers and parents. But soon after enrolling, I was seeing different. The administration still refuses to step in with the continuation of the problem with harassment, phone calls, and bullying. This is all why I am transferring to Cactus High School next semester.
