Black Mountain Science Academy Montessori

I have presented at this school twice and have been very impressed with the teachers and staff. The children are well cared for and taught to be respectful. This is in addition to the time they spend learning things I never thought possible for such young children. I highly recommend Black Mountain Science Academy.

It is with great pleasure that I post my recommendation and extend my deepest appreciation to the administration and staff of the Black Mountain Science Academy. My two grandchildren have attended BMSA for the past two years. As their guardian and former teacher, I was extremely concerned about finding the best possible educational environment for them. The school administrator, Ms. Rebecca Grim, has been spot-on in adhering to the solid foundation set forth by Maria Montessori. Students are provided with a broad spectrum of experiences within the school year in addition to a focused and disciplined education program. I have been very impressed with the true dedication to their job and genuine display of love for the students from both administrators and staff. I can rest assured that my grandchildren are receiving absolutely the optimum education possible. The children love learning now. My hope is that as the children progress through the grades, BMSA will also extend their educational opportunities. If you are looking for quality education, dedicated Montessori-centered staff and an administration that has your child s best interest at heart, then BMSA is the only choice.

This is the best school I have ever sent my kids to. The instructors are of top notch quality. The director and owner are the most compassionate and caring people I have ever met. They truly care about my kids and my kids love them as well. They have learned more at this school than anywhere else. I love this school. My daughter has gone here for 2years and has loved every minute of her day. The staff is friendly and caring as well as very knowledgeable. She has raved about how much she enjoys going to school. As a parent I absolutely love to hear that my child enjoys school and her educational surroundings. (Hard to find these days) I have had nothing but good things to say about the director and all of the staff. I encourage you to enroll your children in this school so that they may learn and grow. My son has been going to this school for 2 years now. He is 4 and is reading already. I'm just blown away by how fast he has learned to read. The teachers are great with the kids and the staff is easy to work with. I love dealing with people that have integrity. My son has and will benefit for what they have taught him. If you want your child to be one of the top, you need to have them in this school! My child has attended this school for numerous years, and i have been blown away by the results. My child is almost 3 years above his work level and is still progressing. Family and friends are impressed that she is in first grade and doing fourth grade work.! This school has not only a brilliant educational program with Montessori, but they stress on the importance of science. My child has told me things that are so unique about the world around them thanks to the science experiments. The school also has the best teachers in the state of Arizona. They are thoughtful, encouraging, and want to help them grow. They provide challenging material for the kids to keep them involved in academics. The leadership of the school is super. The director lets me in on everything about the school and what my daughter is doing in the classroom. I am confident that i have chosen the perfect school to provide a solid base for my child's learning environment. I can already tell that she is going to do great things thanks to the school. I am a proud parent of the BMSA family and appriciate what the school has done.

Don't let the name fool you Science isn't stressed at this "school." If you are interested in sending your child to a school run by a Christian Fanatic then this school is for you. The owner has a fabulous science background but she seems relegated to second or third or fourth fiddle when it comes to curriculum and activities. Religious cartoons are being played during school time while the Director updates her Facebook status and responses in the middle of the school day. Not everyday but far too often for my comfort level. The teachers seem competent but I am constantly wondering what kind of indoctrinations are going on with my children when they are in the school's care. We have decided to not attend this school next year. Lip service is given to us of other faith, but we certainly don't feel welcome. The Christian angle is very predominant in the directors actions and mind at all times. I've never had a problem with people having opposing views on faith, or lack of, but it seems thrown in your face far too often by the school's director. This sort of mindset shouldn't be front and center in a school branded as a SCIENCE ACADEMY!

This is a wonderful school with the most caring attentive teachers and staff. The school is clean and extremely organized and is an ideal atmosphere for learning. Learning is easy and considered fun and challenging for my child at BMSA. If you want your child to excel this is the school to attend!

This is the BEST Montessori school in AZ hands down! This is my son's 2nd year attending. The teachers work with the children one on one. They have a low teacher/student ratio. Ratio is 1/8. Kindergarten class is taught from the 1st grade standards. Very peaceful and clean classroom. Director is very effective in communicating with the parents. I highly recommend this school if you want your child to excel.

A Montessori where your child will be in a challenging environment. Black Mountain has wonderful teachers that quickly identify with each student. This is our second year at BMSA. There is a balance between all subjects and the children are taught true Montessori principles. We moved from California where Montessori is considered one of the most ideal education types so when we found BMSA we were so excited that it exceeded our expectations! You can not find a better school for your child in the NW Valley for the price. If you want your child to get ahead and develop strong skills in reading, math, & science, then this is the school for you. A small class to teacher ratio where each child is recognized for making a difference every day they attend.
