I am a former student. I graduated in 2003 and walked in 2004. I moved to Polaris because I wanted to graduate early and get out of the big high school click situations. Polaris was the best thing I ever did. The teachers there are great. One teacher especially, Mrs. Henderson. She is still there and is a wonderful person. She is a truly dedicated teacher. She cares not just about the students education but the student themselves. Not to mention all of the teachers there are great. Most people see its a charter school that its not a good school, but from first hand experiance from someone who didn't really need to go but went as a personal choice, I believe I made the best choice.

I am a former student of Polaris High School. I attended Polaris during my sophomore because I was pregnant.(If it wern't for Polaris, I would have probably droped out.) My daughter was born one day after my 16th birthday, and I kept her. I also went back to Shadow Mountain High School and graduated in January of 1984, one semester earlier than the rest of my class. I then attended college where I graduated form A.S.U. with honnors and received a B.A. degree in elementary education. I worked with children for a total of ten years. I thank Mr. Dietrich, Mr. Schellhase and all of the other great Polaris teachers that worked at the school back then for the help, support and understanding they gave me. They did make a difference! I have been happily married for 12 years and I am currently a homemaker who does volunteer work on the side. With Polaris, all things are possible!
