Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Reading the reviews before myself, a 6th grade student actually attending St.Gregory, the reach the core academics first, then go above and beyond the average school. I have attended this school since Kindergarden, and ever since, in Math, Science, Religion, Reading, English, Social Studies, Spanish, Physical Education, and Technology classes, the St. Gregory Community has strived to achive above and beyond the average school. Now, as I grow older, I have one idea to become a religious brother, because St. Gregory has made such an impact on my life, and every other students life, in the community.

St. Gregory's school has great academic excellence and encourages all children to excel in every subject. If the teachers/principal are aware of any problems that a child may be having, they immediately address the issues. They focus on early study habits to encourage great study habits for future educational endeavors. I am very impressed by this school!

I was never a fan of private schooling until my son went to St.Gregory's School. The foundation that has been established for his academic future is priceless, and the core values that are set by our faith will be with him forever. I have made a choice to send my child to a catholic school and as long as I can afford it, he will go there.

St. Gregory's has many traits that other great schools possess--caring and involved teachers, a dynamic and tireless principal, a strong academic program--but what makes the school stand out is its community. St. Gregory's is a small, Catholic school located in the heart of urban Phoenix. Over half of the students receive financial aid to attend and many families make great sacrifices to send their children to a school that they know will make a difference in their child's life. The children at St. Gregory's are not just taught a love of learning, but understand tolerance, grow in kindness, share an appreciation for the things that make us all diverse, and have compassion for all those around them. St. Gregory's is a great school because it creates an environment that lets all children thrive. These children will be tomorrow's leaders and we will all benefit because of their kindness, strength, and love. Any great school can teach a child to read and write, not all great schools can show a child how to be a better human being. St. Gregory's is truly a special place.

I believe that St. Gregory's school has everything that a parent could want in a school and a community. The teachers and the staff really care about the students and strive to give them an excellent education and a deeper understanding of their faith. I send my son to St. Greg's because I know that he is being cared for and educated in a safe and nurturing environment.

I have the unique pleasure of being an alumni, teacher and parent at St. Gregory's Catholic School. I am proud of the education I received here, the education I now help provide here, and the education my children are experiencing here. Beyond the superb academics, the spiritual growth is inspiring and the relationships built are amazing! St. Gregory s is truly the best!

St Gregory's School is outstanding because of the Administration, staff and students that attend this school. My daughter loves St. Gregory's! I am impressed by the quality of teaching, in addition to the skills that are taught to the students. The staff do an excellent job of coaching the students to believe in themselves and achive a higher standard!

St. Gregory's Elementary school is one of the few schools that instill pride and respect for their community. it is a community that has banded together to raise funds when needed, to spruce up the grounds and to compete in higher education for all students. The success of a school can only be measured in the success of the community and St. Gregory's has proved to be a successful school. One does one love St. Gregory's? It is because everyone is their to support every student, not just a select few, but every students has the potential to not only be successful, but to be somebody and be valued for who they are!

My daughter has been going to St. Gregory's Catholic School for 6 years now and I could'nt have picked a better school for her to attend. The quality of education at St. Greg's is top notch and the staff and faculty are first rate! The education that my daughter is receiving at St. Greg's is fantastic! The community as a whole is a close knit one, and if you happen to walk on campus at any given time you will see how happy, caring and loving everyone is towards each other. Not only are the kids receiving a first rate education, but they are also being taught how to be loving and compassionate towards their fellow man. The teachers, principal and vice principal, along with the office staff, really do care about the children who attend school at St. Greg's and therefore it shows in the daily lives of our children!

I am pleased to send my children to St. Gregory Catholic School and feel it is worth every cent that I invest in their education there. Not only do they get a quality academic education, but they get an education in how to be a well mannered responsible member of society with morals and ethics. At St. Greg's they truly learn to live their faith in word and deed. The teachers are not just there as a job. They teach our children because they are passionate about educating and molding our youth. I feel by sending my children to St. Greg's that they really are learning in a community that will help them grow into adults that I can be proud of.

I love St. Gregory Catholic School because of it's loving and supporting administrators, faculty and staff. We are a community, a family, not just a school. The students are treated with respect, and learn to respect themselves and others. St. Gregory's is committed to excellence in education. The school not only teaches core and honors academics, but also strives to build well-rounded students. They do this by offering many other activities(PE, Art, Spanish, Young Mozarts, dance lessons, Mad Science) which help the students engage in creative/citical thinking, helping them to become self-disciplined learners and active faith followers of Christ. I am proud to send my child to this wonderful school.

St. Gregory's is all about value. Nowhere else can you get Catholic tradition and academic excellence in a caring community. While other schools may be cutting programs, St. Gregory s Catholic School does not sacrifice art, music and sports programs. The technology is often more advanced than in surrounding schools. There is a higher graduation rate and the students are well prepared for high school and college. Every student is respected as an individual and helped to reach his or her highest potential.

I love the teaching and administrative staff. Every single person at St. Gregory is helpful, loving, and dedicated to the students, parents and the community. St. Gregory has educated my children in academics, sportsmanship, religion, and other qualities that I feel will only make them stronger and more successful in their future venture into high school and college.

This school has high academic expectations, well trained teachers in areas such as Critical Thinking, loving and caring faculty & staff, and a very strong parent organization. At the same time, the school has strong Catholic values and instills in the children a strong understanding of their faith. Our children are extremely happy at St. Gregory's

St. Greg's has a wonderful family atmosphere, where every teacher and every staff member truly has the best interest in mind for the children. They treat each child like their own and in many cases they are their own children or grand children! They have a strong parent involvment and the teachers work well with the parents as the life long educators of their children. They teach values along with strong acedemics. My daughter graduated from St. Greg's and was accepted into one of the top private high schools in the country. She is excelling because of the strong acedemic foundation that was instilled at St. Greg's. I have my younger child in St. Greg's because I know he will thrive and be well taken care of.

I love St. Gregory Catholic school because... Where to begin? The school grounds themselves are inviting. The teachers are some of the most dedicated, intelligent, and fun people I've ever met. They are able to engage their students on so many levels, and maintain high academic expectations (which St. Gregory's students meet and exceed!). The administration at St. Gregory is also top notch. Mrs. Fyan and Mr. Cipriano (and many others) are simply dedicated to the school and its community. They also communicate well, openly, and often, which we appreciate. Our daughter is in kindergarten this year, and the interactions among the younger and older students are heart-warming. Of course, being a Catholic school, moral and spiritual education also takes place, and we see the positive effects of that aspect of education in our daughter, her friends, and her classmates. I cannot say enough what a great place St. Gregory Catholic School is. We feel so happy and fortunate that our daughter can attend there.

I love St. Gregory's because it is a school principled in meeting the needs and molding the whole person. Not only do the leadership and educators focus on high and excelling academics, St. Greg's also focuses on a child's spiritual, emotional and physical well-being. I also deeply appreciate the spirit of giving back to our community that is instilled in our children!! Please come join us -

I love the academics and community of St. Gregory School. I have read some of the bad reviews and am sure that these people believe what they say. However, the truth of the matter is that their children probably did not promote Christian values, were not committed to their academics, or they broke the rules and were asked to leave.

Not worth the $, am catholic, wanted my child to have a catholic education. After 3 years at St. Gregs' I struggled with the possibility of leaving, but after so much stolen property and no action from Administration I made the decision to leave. Can't believe what a great decision it was, my child has improved academically and is motivated. The athletic programs are far superior to St. Gregs' can't believe the difference. My child is happy and was not before. Hard to believe I was paying for this and probably many other lower income childrens catholic education.

This is my daughter's second year at St Gregs. I do not see the problems that some people are alledging. Our experience has been positive. We love the fact that faith is an important part of the curriculum. In regards to academics, she is barely starting so I am giving the school the benefit of the doubt so far. My daughter usually says 'St Gregorys is the best' and that is enough for me right now.

My children have been attending St. Greg's for 3 years now. We started in the pre-school and what a wonderful experience it has been. Mrs. Mosher and the teaching staff are the best! All the children are treated with lots of love and respect. When looking into the pre-school, I was looking for a place that my children would actually learn and not just exist. This is not a daycare! The children learn how to respect themselves and others and are held to a very high standard. My children have blossomed at St. Greg's. This is a warm and loving community of people and I would not want my children anywhere else! St. Greg's is Great!

We love St. Gregory's Catholic School. Academically, our children are recieving a great education. Teachers challenge the students and demand that they perform at their best. Spiritually, our children have grown in their faith and are realizing that their growth is directly related to serving others, not waiting for others to serve them. The school administration has a tough job balancing the needs of students, faculty, and parents. We do not always agree with the admininistration's decisions, but we appreciate the efforts made by the administration to listen to all parties involved before it makes a final decision. We feel that most parents in the community are looking out for the best interest of the school, not just what is in the best interest of their children. This parent attitude makes all the fundraisers, school activities, and church functions a lot of fun to attend.

Wow!! I have to say that I agree with the review about the 'substandard education', and there is definitely a lack of a 'good catholic' community. We just pulled our two sons out of St. Gregory's after 5 years of attendance, and have to say that it was the best decision we have ever made. At St Gregs, our sons had straight A's and were not disruptive nor disrespectful in the classroom. So we were quite surprised to find out how behind the curriculum at St Gregs is compared to other schools. I believe that people have the misconception that if you are paying for something, then it must be better. Definitely not the case there. Your kids are better off elsewhere! As for the teachers, only a small handful are truly qualified.

Yes i think you do have to read between the lines if parents are going at each other like this on line. What does this say for the school it self ! Personally I have had children attend St. Gregory's and was not happy there, but each to there own. I am not into bashing or putting down others a bad experience is a bad experience. What does this say for you that claim to be good catholics!

You have to take each review and read between the lines. The teachers are great. The children can talk in the luchroom not yell and bully others. If children are behind that is not the schools fault. Sometimes people get upset when their child is a problem in the school and classroom and spend time in detention as well as the principals office. I love St.Greg's .

St Gregory provides a very substandard education and your kids will definitely be one grade level behind their peers when they leave. The staff and aids are underqualified and harrass the children, and what's worse, they aren't aloud to talk in the lunchroom!
