Handles bullying effectively: Strongly agree

- a
We haven't seen or heard of any of it here - we wouldn't expect it to be an issue and if it were, it would be handled quickly and efficiently by the teachers and administration.

Supports LD students: Strongly agree

- a
from what we have seen, this appears to be true. we couldn't see it happening any other way with this school.

Effective school leaders: Strongly agree

- a
The leaders at the school are engaging and proactive.

Develops character: Strongly agree

- a
The staff consistently walks the talk - we have seen this here much more so than any of the schools our children have attended elsewhere.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

- a
The teachers and principals are engaged in ensuring our son's success in the classroom educationally, socially, and spiritually.

Amount of homework: Strongly agree

- a
There's a fair amount of homework and it's expected to be done and returned on time. Not too much, not too little - just about the right balance of homework.

Awesome teachers and staff. We moved to AZ from MA this summer and have been thoroughly impressed with the school with the administration, and the staff. They deeply care about the student's education and spiritual growth. If you're serious about your child's long term success, our family would encourage you to look at NCS.

This is our first year at NCS. The administration is very helpful. It is so nice that my children can speak openly about their faith. It is very hard to "break in" for parents and children to make friends. I have been surprised at the tolerance with dress code violations, vulgar language and lack of leadership (professional example) from the teachers. I do believe most of the teachers have a genuine interest in the children. The curriculum has much lower standards than what we were use to. They do provide opportunities for students who are self driven, however, there is a huge emphasis on the social aspect of school. There seems to be a big support for sports. There are several electives to choose from that my children like. There needs to be less emphasis on "lifers" vs students who transfer. There is actually a separation in the yearbook. I would have expected more openness. I do think if you make an effort you will find your place, but it is not easy.

NCS is a wonderful school to send your children. The teachers are genuinely interested in the child's education and well being. They offer many opportunities for the students such as clubs, sports and volunteering abroad. They are excellent about keeping the parents involved and up to date with the students academic work and offer many suggestions to help the student succeed.

This is a great school! Great families, kids, administration, teachers and coaches. Speaking of coaches, we recently attended a baseball game against another Christian school in Scottsdale and after the game we overheard one of their coaches speak the most offensive things. He wasn't the head coach, just one of the dad coaches, but he was loud, vulgar and said very obscene things. We are very happy with our coaches here and to be apart of a school that upholds Christian values that extends to the athletic field.
