Imagine Cortez has a wonderful staff. We have 4 children in this school. We recently adopted three of these children. All 3 were academically behind their grade level when they came to us and we knew it would be a challenge no matter what school they attended. As parents, we had no prior experience with charter schools and were hesitant to enroll them. As it turns out, this school has a fantastic staff that work well together. Their team concepts of teaching bring unity to the academic methods without the students even realizing it. The teachers are eager to help individual students whenever asked. We have had a couple of scenarios where we requested meetings or special assistance for our children and both the teachers and the Principal were very productive in our childrens succes. The teachers also do not hesitate to contact us as parents when the need arises. We also have a straight A student that they have made special arrangements to challenge her to keep her focused on learning and not turn stagnate. There is a positive environment with emphasis on learning. They promote proper respect between students as well..just an extension of what a family unit should look and act like.

I have 4 children at this school. My kindergartener begs to go to school. She has an amazing teacher! Mrs.Scala obviously loves her job. She has helped my family in ways she will never know! I recently went through a divorce and we were going to move closer to my family. I do not want to move because of this teacher! My son is doing amazing academically and socially. I can not say enough about Mrs.Scala. I am truly a grateful parent!

I' have had two of my children that have been at Cortez Park Middle for two years going on three now. I feel that there would not be no other school out there better for my children than Cortez Park. The front office has ALWAYS been friendly and helpful and with a smile on there face.Parents need to be patient when they go up to the front office. The front office is always so busy and I just think that parents can be so impatient most of the time. Middle school never has had homework packets, at least the years that my children have been there. Middle school has really awsome teachers and lots of help for middle school students. They have a great 21st Century Program for students. They also have sports through out the year. This school has a friendly and safe enviroment with awsome principals that care.

I am impressed with the office staff at Cortez Park. They go out of there way to help parents and staff and in the most difficult situations, still try to do it with a smile. The safety of the students is their concern and its sad that parents don't realize that.

The principal is wonderful, but he will not be there next year. This school need to change their administration team or pay for them to take some customer service classes. The fron office is very rude to parents and even students, no wonder there are a lot of bullies here. Elementary teachers need to give homwork everyday, NOT sending packets home for them to complete throughout the week.
