unlike the parents i went to this school and i can honesty say it was the greatest school i have ever attended. Its a small school, but the teachers and students were more like family and if i could go back in time i would go back there for school in a heart beat!

I have GREAT CONCERN for a school that has no telephones in the classroom, nor technology used in the classroom. No library means no books. Ask your kids how many computers actually work and if they have used any programs for learning? Or if they can go anywhere on the Internet and they are never blocked? This school for 2010 is reported by AZ Dept. Of ED. as UNDER PERFORMING. Did you know this is a Title One school that should have oodles of resources - but they DON'T. Where is the dollars being spent, then? If your child attends this school, go into the classroom a few times for a few hours and if you become concerned, TRUST in your observation - you don't know the half of it. Find a school that is good and at least performing. Just ask what the school rating is before you enroll!!!

I've had my children at this school for two years now. The school is small and offers small class sizes. My children fee safe and like going to school. The school ofered many field trips this school year. All of them were free at no charge to parents or students. My children also participated and went to an Art Studio twice this year. They did not have a music program but students did lots of art. My youngest child improved her reading scores. Th school is strict and does not put up with discipline problem students. This is why my children feel safe at the school. The principal is always available when you need to reach him. At the moment the school is a Performing School. My children will return next year.

Do not send your child here!!!Unfortunately, all of the below is true. I, too, sent my son to this school hoping for a great experience. The teachers do leave without any word, some of the teachers are just plain out rude to you and even though you tell the administrator and he says that he and his supervisor have spoken to the teachers and written them up, nothing changes. Son is behind now and hates going to school.

My son is ADHD and Bi-Polar. I enrolled him 3 years ago with high hopes, as the former director was a wonderful woman with great skills. She disappeared, no word what had happened to her. After that chaos broke out. I stayed loyal, even enrolled my second child. I am taking both my children out of the school for many reasons. One of the biggest reason is, I could not get a hold of the staff in case of an emergency, the office was often not occupied. Another problem was that teachers came and went. No explanation to the parents. The principal is a sweet person, but I think he lacks leader skills.

I was extremely disapponted in this school and the leadership and lack thereof. They need more focus and more parent involvement. Parents take charge of your children's education. Your voice does matter. We can't lose our kids. We are taking our kids out of this school.

I was Extremely dissapointed with this school. The administration made many empty promises. The students were supposed to be introduced to arts, crafts, music, etc,it never happened. My children often complained about not being challenged. They said it was boring because they weren't learning anything. In addition, the school lures you with many field trips but fail to advise parents that they must 'contribute' $250.00 per child before they can participate in said fieldtrip. Also parents, please be aware that this school does not offer any disciplinary actions which allows children to act however they please. I failed to take my children out of this school in time so now I feel they will be behind in the next school year. Please do your research before enrolling them and see if you have any other options. I also have concerns about the qualifications of the teachers.

I don't see any structure in the academic process. The children are give work books to complete. To my knowledge, the school does not have a music, art,or sports department, and definitly not any extracurricular activities. I have asked several times when are we going to have a parent/teacher conference or an assembly to introduce the school to the community. The children don't receive breakfast or a hot lunches even though the paper work for the 'lunch' program were filled out by the parents. The school does not have history or science books and the school does not honor Martin Luther King holiday even though the school is located in the heart of South Phoenix. The school has been operation since August 2004, and has not had a parent teacher meeting to this day.
