Enrolling my children at SSA-Ahwatukee was the best decision my husband and I made. The school environment is welcoming, safe, and friendly. The faculty and staff are dedicated and committed to the children's education - challenging each and every student. My children absolutely loves this school!
Sonoran Science Academy challenges are kids, critical thinking with all subjects are very important with the new common core! I know our school will be rated one of the best! Go SSA!!!
I absolutely love this school my husband and I are so happy we decided to send our daughter her for kindergarten! The staff is so amazing and helpful! And The Parents Club is so welcoming and friendly, I love being apart of a great group of parents.
Sonoran Science Academy - Ahwatukee is a great school to go to because everything is family-like and you forget that they are even teachers, but you remember them as a family. Also, this school is a really good if you want to experience everything a school can do. Sonoran Science Academy is a safe for your child/children because the teachers personally supervise you child/children, so you will never get a worried feeling.
Fantastic curriculum, strict discipline and a very solid program that starts in kindergarten. The program strongly encourages parent involvement in various aspects and homework starts the very first day of kindergarten.
SSA- Ahwatukee is a positive, nurturing, and happy place to be! The teachers/staff members all genuinely adore every student and know each student by name. Our school has incredibly kind, well-mannered, and enthusiastic students from kindergarten to fifth grade. Our administration/ front office staff are all approachable, caring and completely dedicated. The teachers all have student success and achievement as their top priorities. We are lucky to have tons of support from the amazing parents of our students! We work as a team! I love coming to school each day to see my students. As the teachers, parents, students and administration continue to work together, our SSA-A students will always be outstanding!
I am happy with the school, the leadership and staff. They have been very approachable, and easy to access to when I needed them. I believe my child is safe and that he is getting the top notch education here. The school is also great with communication, weekly parent emails directly from the principal are keeping me posted in addition to my child's teacher's weekly communication. This year Parent's Club has been very active as well- and they keep us in the loop with weekly communication too. The school has positive energy, and everybody makes you feel welcomed. Our teacher has demonstrated herself as a very dedicated and caring teacher. She came to our house with another teacher to talk about academics and keep me posted for behavior too. I absolutely loved the fact that I was able to talk to them, enjoy a friendly personable conversation and ask some questions at the luxury of my home. Who does that? Only if you care, you'd do it. Studies show teachers who know more about their students' lives are able to achieve higher learning. As a educator myself, I see that SSA Staff is going above and beyond their job descriptions to support our kids in any way they can. Thank you SSA-A.
The most amazing and dedicated and loved teachers by both students and parents! The Vice Principal is such a welcome addition to SSA. He is very articulate and has such a great re-pore with the children and parents. He is also caring and yet seems to uphold order and discipline. My children went from loathing gym class last year to wishing it was more than 1 day a week which is AMAZING in my mind because I absolutely HATED gym class when I was any of their ages!!! The front office woman is so wonderful too. Whenever, I have questions about anything she is always so accommodating and so helpful. She makes my family feel very welcome when she greets us as we walk through the door.
My great grandchildren are doing well academically and are happy with their school. I haven't been to the school myself, but my great grandchildren talk highly of their school and that makes me satisfied. I know that my granddaughter picked the best school for her children.
I don't know what some people are talking about, but do want to share my opinion about this school. This is our third year, and me as a parent, Imam very happy withis school, very approachable and friendly staff, teachers very professional and helpful, something was sai about principal, and just to let you know she is awesome, she work her way to make this school better and better, I do see improvements every single day, she support teachers in every possible way, someone said she is rulling school in her way, not always a good way, but she is the boss, and the way she rules it, its the best way for the school, my kids always happy, always safe. I was thinking that my little one will be giving me hard time, but she is not, she begs to go to school even on the weekends. Savety is great, teachers are great, extra carriculum is awesome, lots of activities for kids before, during and after school. Too bad that there was some budget cuts and they dont have a middle school anymore, otherwise I will never would pull my older kids to different school. But like I said my 2nd and K student are very happy and getting smarter every minute. And if you love your kids and want best for them..
I love this school! As a parent I have complete peace of mind knowing I am sending my precious child to a school which engages, challenges, and nurtures her everyday. The size of the school allows for parent and teacher interaction at a level that you just don't get at a public school. I am left bewildered at an earlier comment regarding bullying, if that were a true statement then parents and teachers would be aware of it. The principal is devoted to the school, very approachable, friendly and most importantly easily accessible to parents. I feel secure knowing that my child is learning and growing in a safe and loving environment,
This is my first year at Sonoran Science Academy Ahwatukee.I feel that this school has a great curriculum and dedicated, caring teachers. I see the administration and faculty as very friendly and approachable. To see a Principle and/or Vice Principle each day gives the impression that they are there, not just for our students and parents, but that they support their teachers/team as well. That really impresses me! The initiative by the Parents Club leaders for parent involvement is definitely a HUGE plus. The Parents Club and faculty makes me feel very welcomed here at this school and it allows me to contribute to my child's education the best way I can. I LOVE the diversity of kids and people. I like the small school feeling it has to it. I definitely think that the staff and administration has a passion for our children's success for their educational future.
Great School and Great Staff. They are nice and approachable. We are totally satisfied with this school. Love this school.

This is our third year in this school and we couldn't be happier, me as a parent, I see school growing and improving in every way is possible, Very friendly and professional teachers, very helpful and friendly front office personal, vice principal is new to school, but he is doing an awesome job, always on top of everything, principal is very nice and approachable, very supportive to students, teachers and parents. This school is small, and being a part of it feels like being a part of one big friendly family, parents involvement and support is great, everyone wants to cheap in and help. Love this school, and so is my kids.
Very Friendly Staff, and Administration. This year is our second year with SSA- A. My daughter is a first grader this year, I have the advantage of communicating well with the teacher due to the fact that the school is like a big family. My daughter has interactions not only with her teacher but also with other teachers, she is nurtured by everyone in the school. The principal is very personable and friendly, she spares time for me for small question I might have. I see her working hard for the school's success, she has a positive rapport with the students. You should come in and check this school out by yourselves.
My daughter has started in Kindergarten last year, she has excelled in math and language arts incredibly fast. My wife and I were really happy with her teacher, who was effectively managing the little ones while challenging their minds. She was very supportive of my child, who might have experienced difficulties because of the cultural differences. The teacher has supported her academically as well as emotionally. Her first grade teacher is likewise very nice and supportive. We are totally satisfied with this school. Small and family like setting, everyone knows everyone by name. Students are feeling safe and cared about. Parents club is even better this year, they are fun and easy going people...so easy to work with...I love it here....Thank to great Staff of SSA.
My son's teachers have been amazing. I love SSA Awatukee. They all are good about letting the parents know how the kids do every day!
Our daughter started at SSA-A this year (4th grade) and loves it! She really likes her classmates and teachers and is excited about going to school each day. The staff here are wonderful and very responsive to parents' concerns. Way to go, SA-A!!!
Went to the school to consider enrolling as a walk in late May. Front desk is very competent. I had an appointment 2 months ago with the Dean/VP, he gave an excellent overview and tour. The Principal arranged to have the SLP & Special Ed teacher review his 504, reports from private pay psychologists and the public school assessment. Special Ed teacher & SLP were able to pick out discrepencies from various reports. Public school was trying not to provide services by stalling and arranging meetings months down the road. We wasted a year and accomplished nothing. We Left public school bc they were not following the 504 plan and lost our son. Also for public school they had 25-27 students the teacher had NO control of the class, no aid. I have seen some aids, they were not helpful. So far the SSAA staff have shown themselves to be very dedicated.
