As a Grandparent/staff member my experience with Midtown has been more than satisfying. My grand-daughter is in her third year with the school and do not believe she would be doing as well in public school. I put all three of my own children through public schools so I feel qualified to make the comparison. There is none! Midtown outshines public on all levels.
This is our first year at Midtown Primary and so far we could not be happier. I feel like my son is challenged at an appropriate level and allowed to move on at a good pace for him. He started in the Kindergarten summer program and was allowed to move on to study with the First graders this fall (2014/15 school year). He is making friends and enjoying the school experience. I feel like the staff takes steps to know each child and family individually so goals can be set and the students can thrive. Midtown is a diverse school that in my experience, so far, has worked hard to meet the needs of each individual child. We have already been invited to several meetings with the teachers, staff and social events. I am satisfied with the choice we made to start our elementary school experience at Midtown and look forward to the future.
My daughter adores her school. She already says she plans to send her kids there. We love the small small community aspect with fun talent shows and festivals. Incentives for kids with perfect attendance and lots of great parents are a part of this this school.
i loved this school for my children. now that they are all out of the school the teachers, staff and mis judy are missed
Midtown Primary School has created a warm and supportive learning environment for both students and their families. Teachers and administrators have a wonderful rapport with students and their families, making learning fun and exciting. Teachers go above and beyond to ensure every student's needs are met. When you enter the school you can clearly see that the success of each student academically is top priority.
This school has helped my son grow so much, academically & socially. Midtown has amazing teachers and staff . I am lucky to be part of the midtown family.
Midtown Primary is the best school in Phoenix for those who need to attend K-4, I have three girls that spent all of their elementary years there. They have to most loving, caring and nurturing staff. The principal is the best you will ever find. Hodges/Torres Family
This is a great school my three sister all went here and my daughter was always attending their school functions so when she turned 5 this year she was determined she wanted to go to Midtown. She is just in kindergarten and she has learn so much, she is coming home everyday with something new. Her favorite is to tell me when she sees one of her site words in a book or on television. She'll say "look mom that's my site word, little it says little". She is funny, great school.
All three of my kids attended Midtown Primary School all of their elementary years....when they arrived at their Middle school they were all ahead of the rest of the kids!!! Midtown prepared them well!!
Midtown Primary School has a grade A rating by the AZ Department of Education. We are so proud of our students, teachers & families, it is such a supportive, loving community. We all work very hard to make sure each student gets a well rounded education, so they can reach their goals in life. I LOVE my school!!
A very caring staff that put the needs of the children as their number 1 priority.
We are an A school per the AZ Dept of ED! I couldn't be prouder of my team: my staff, our students and our families. They all worked hard, they got the results they were aiming for (but they didn't let the fun fall out). It is my greatest privilege and pleasure to work with such a tight (fully focused on their students' growth), creative team (using many approaches to accomplish that growth)! Then I get to LOVE "my" kids! I LOVE my staff! I LOVE our parents (have never worked with such an active, supportive group)! I LOVE our school and my job!!!! Ms. Judy, Principal
Mid Town Primary is a great school and the staff is awesome, I wouldn't send my child anywhere else.
My daughter loves everything about this school. She is excited to go every day! I feel safe dropping her off in the mornings.
I am one lucky teacher to be part of an awesome team who is dedicated to their students and parents. I am starting my 11th year teaching at Midtown and I can not imagine teaching anywhere else. I really feel like I am part of a loving family!! This year we were given a grade A by the Arizona Department of Education and I could not be more proud.
Midtown Primary has been a great fit for our daughter! We wanted a small and caring school. Now in 1st grade, she was so excited for summer to end and school to be back in session. The staff know all the kids and it's great to see them even know them by name! They are always open to questions and work very closely with the parents to make their students be the best that they can be. Kids wanting to be a school is a great thing and the kids at Midtown WANT to be there!
Test scores are in; we did SUPER! All the hardwork, continuous teamwork, constant evaluation to be sure we are doing THE VERY BEST we can for each student has paid off! I have never been part of a team that is so hardworking and cares so deeply about each child. No wonder the teacher retention is outstanding. I am proud to be part of the Midtown Primary Team! We keep our classes small to ensure these kind of results. We provide free after-school tutoring & a study club to give additional help. We are also a very fun group including Girls Scouts, Young Explorers, Talent Show, Zoo Night, Holiday Night, Pumpkin Fest, Harvest Fest, Family Picnic, Water Day... Our kids have garden, library and computer lab. It is a safe & loving environment.
Small classes and very caring teachers make a huge difference in how my daughter is doing. The extra caring given to the whole family is very appreciated. The parents are part of the education teamwork and included in the educational process.
Cozy (small) classrooms, relatively traditional learning environment. The music program is wonderful, and I love the family activities. Definitely this school is a 'fun' school that the kids love to attend. Rewards are given for showing up to school (good attendance) as well as completion of assignments. The reward system is a little more liberal than I'd like, since I feel intrinsic rewards are preferable. My child has progressed in this school.
The school's philosophy, level of caring, and attention to each students' needs are beyond anything I have ever experienced. They also have many fun, family activities.
