The Madison School District Self-contained Gifted classes (i,e. The REACH Center) housed in Camelview (grades 1-4) as well as Madison Park (grades 5-8). Camelview provides a balanced and safe environment for all of the kids on the campus. This is really one of the best gifted programs, endorsed by many of current parents. It is truly a hidden jewel. I have seen my kid thrived in the REACH classroom. There is no limit or cap on their learning, a truly individualized education. The teachers are expereienced and extremely effective with this group of kids. As a parent, I want to get the words out about this wonderful school and the gifted program.
Camelview is home to REACH, Madison School District's self-contained gifted program. It is a phenomenal program for the highly gifted student. The teachers are well-trained in gifted education and my children have excelled beyond my expectations and their own! We are winning competitions on a local and national level and the kids have fun doing it.
GREAT MUSIC PROGRAM TONIGHT. I HAVE 2 GRANDKIDS WHO GO HERE BEEN TO EVERY PROGRAM AWESOME ....WE LOVE MADISON
My daughter started Kinder this year at Madison Camelview and she loves it. Her teacher is the most patient and understanding teacher of all (I was mine were like that when I was in school). She is reading and doing math at a 1-2nd grade level. We are excited to have her progress into the 1st grade with the knoledge that she has learned.
Dedicated teachers, staff, and students. This school meets my kids' needs without question. My kindergartener was reading and doing math by the end of the school year. Some of her friends who attend other schools spent their kindergarten year in a glorified daycare, but my daughter really was challenged. Terrific school.
This school is excellent. The teachers & principle are vested in the children at this school. It is at the cusp of strategies in math & reading. I wish the school went through at least fourth grade!
My son started kinder last year going into school he knew the basic's his numbers 1-20, colors, shapes, abc's. By the end of the sch yr he was reading books, math (1st & 2nd grade level), writing complete sentences. This is is awesome and I recommend to all parents looking for their children to excell!
My daughter attended Madison Camelview last year. Her teacher was very young and quite inexperienced which only added to the problems she experienced there. As an only child, she has some special needs and obstacles to overcome, however when she came home and asked me if she was a 'bad' person, I knew it was time to find another school. She's attending another school in variance in lieu of Camelview, in my opinion, a Very lacking educational situation. BTW, the MAC program (before/after school program) there is so awful, it shouldn't even be licensed.
We are new to this school and I enrolled my 4 year old in the summer preschool and my 6 year old in kindergarten summer school. The first two days they both cried when I came to pick them up - -they did not want to leave. The teachers and assistants are wonderful and have helped me work through some discipline issues with my 4 year old. We will be attending Camelview in the Fall.
After-school care has great staff. The library is fabulous with a Reading Room that is carpeted and round and kid-friendly. Emphasis on reading and comprehension at a young age.
