The only thing positive about the schools is the teachers. They try their best to help our students achieve. The principals, particulary Nancy Uxa and Steve Wolf at Gateway elementary are horrible! They do not address any concerns you have. I have seen them be mean to teachers by yelling at them and telling them they aren't doing a good job. To me its sad because I know the teachers try hard. I know some teachers had like 35 students in their classes and that's not right. That's too many kids for 1 person to handle. I complained a couple of times and nobody ever did anything so I pulled my student out of that school and I will never let her go back. They are rude and not very nice.
okay in the school am going to has higher technology than this school the school that am going to is named gililland middle school it has imacs and smart boards on every single class room we have clickers and laptop no other school has this they say were very fortunate so u recommend to bring ur chiled over here 6th grade 7th grade and 8th grade
This school is a really good school, but except for the teacher Mrs.McaLlister. I Love this school, it;s clean neat, and organized! I enjoy it and even the parents are involoved!
For children with special needs this school falls far below anything I've ever experienced. How can a student be eager to learn to read when the reading teachers do not grade the students their HR teacher gives them the grade so they will get an 'F'. The same holds true for writing the student will get an 'F' automatically!!! This is not fair for the child. Even his HR teacher agreed with me these kids don't stand a chance... In addition to that, the students take the same reading test as the rest of the class and they miss most of the instruction because they are in another class room with the reading teacher. My son will NOT be attending school next year ! I'm very unhappy.
Great school, teachers, parents involvement. Could not ask for more from a school.
I love this school. There a re such great things about it.Im especially impressed about the high technology there. It is very updated. it is also a very safe enviromnent. Parents are very involved here. There a re alot of parent groups and conferences every 2 quarters to talk about your childs work. The teachers and the classroms are nice too. There is no trash or other things laying in the ground. the extarcurricular programs are great too. theres a great variety.
