Hello to everyone out there! My family and I will be moving this summer. We come from a small community with two schools and of course finding a school was easy. Now I am seriously frustrated, looking for a good school for my 7 y/o is crazy! I am looking for a good school? I have a couple of schools in mind like Kyrene Seirra, Kyrene Del Ciel and CI Waggoner school? HELP! However Seirra is my first choice, but we are looking for move closer to another school for my 5 y/o who has autism. How can I get my son enrolled with Sierra and have the schools help provide transportation? I know the school has set bounderies, how do I get around it?
Wow! I do not know that you can get 'around' boundaries with regard to transportation. You most likely can open enroll in many schools throughout the Valley if you are out of the Boundary and even out of the District but the transportation layouts are specific within those boundaries. I would recommend that for the one needing transportation via the School District, you move to that location and then you will have to transport the other. The only thing you can do is contact the school or district directly and ask. Due to the size of the schools and District, you will find exceptions are harder to come by as there are so many students to assist.
As a REALTOR, I have assisted many families move and have always heard of School assistance for the open enrollment except at some specific schools that are maxed out due to newer home construction in the area. I have never heard of a district or school allowing bus pick-ups outside the boundaries. Good Luck on your relocation.

Hi. We live in the Kyrene district but we go to Ambassador Academy which has much smaller class sizes then the public schools in Kyrene. You should take a look at it. The teachers and pricipal are wonderful. 76930
