I attended Queen Creek Middle School and then High School until my sophomore year. At this point, I could not stand the way my teachers taught (or the lack of teaching at all), the politics within the sports teams among coaches, and the lack of college preparation. I switched to Perry High School and had an amazing junior and senior year with teachers who caused me to be engaged in my learning and was enrolled in the AVID program there. I wish parents could attend QCHS for one day and see the miserable conditions and lack of administration.
Best school ever been there for 3 years now the teachers and students are very helpful and are caring...
Best school ever i got 3 kids going there and they seem to get better education everyday they come home.
I am a teacher at Queen Creek High School and i think that the school is awesome all the teachers from my point of view are helpful and caring the kids that i have always positive and willing to work.
My personal experience with QCHS was wonderful. I attended all four years at this high school without complaint. I felt connected with my teachers and classmates and was able to participate in several extracurricular activities. I began collage the fall after graduation and managed to graduate with two bachelor degrees and my masters degree by age 22, this largely in part to the several dual credit classes QCHS offered at the time. My experience at Queen Creek was back when the school was 3A and had a smaller class size, which could have contributed to my positive experience. My brother, who recently graduated felt he had a positive experience as well, despite having been less engaged in academics and extracurricular activities.
QCHS is a wonderful school filled with caring and qualified professionals. My child has only been attending this school for one semester and I have seen much more improvement/self confidence. He participates in the wonderful FFA program and most of his teachers take the time to work with him after school as well. I think QCHS has a lot to offer in the perfoming arts department as well as the athletic department. I highly reccommend if you are looking for a smaller environment with an excelling staff/community.
Im currently a senior at this school and contrary to what other people are saying, I think it's an awesome school. I run track and cross country and I think that both programs are awesome (4A-1 state champs!). Some of the teachers are a little off, but the rest are generally very good teachers. They are kind of strict about wearing id's and dress code, but otherwise are pretty lenient.
Queen Creek High School is alright. I currently attend there and the students are very nice for the most part. The administration is a joke, its very strict for the most part and because of this a lot of students don't really know what the ' high school' experience is. There is NO school spirit what so ever! the sports programs are not even announced. its pretty boring to tell you the truth. On the plus side there's not really any 'cliques' and for the most part people accept one another.
Queen Creek is a terrible place for a child to be educated if you can call it that.
My daughter has been excelling at this school and is involved in several extra-curricular activities. The sports program is wonderful from what we know of the one sport she participates in. I would recommend a more unified teaching for classes, she had to switch teachers for 2nd semester and was quite behind for the new teacher.
