Leading Edge Academy - Queen Creek

The only issue I have with this school is the MATH...they continue to hire teachers that either don't know what they are doing or fail to help the kids in any way. Our kids are WAY behind.

The high school is more interested in keeping money coming in for students than in trying to build the type of character that will allow teaching to be accomplished. Kids that are totally out of control are sent back to class without any repercussions. Good teachers are removed in order to not rile up the poorly disciplined students.

Leading Edge is the ONLY choice if you live in the Queen Creek area. I have children in the elementary school and the jr. high. All of the teachers know all of the kids, it does not matter if they were in their class previously or not. The elementary school has the most loving, caring teachers I have ever had the priviliage of knowing. The jr. high teachers care about the kids, they want and expect success academically and with character. When you walk into the building at either campus, you feel like you are coming home. I highly suggest Leading Edge Academy in Queen Creek!!

LOVE this school! I love that they are concerned about our childrens character as well as their academics. I know the school has had some changes but I believe everything is moving in a good direction. It's wonderful to have my children feel safe at school and enjoy class rooms that have less distractions from unruly kids so that they can actually LEARN. Leading Edge is an excellent school where the kids are the top priority! I have 2 girls here and can't imagine them anywhere else. The teachers take a vested interested in their needs and keep the parents informed of progress. The staff and administration work hard to make sure curriculum meets the standards. The Character Counts program helps to instill values that will last a lifetime. You can always count on a smile and kind word from staff and faculty. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

The school is ok. They seem to always be going through changes and can't be consistent on anything. They have a merit system which rewards the teachers favorite students. This is not fair to the kids that are getting their work done and are good kids but don't get recognized. It does nothing but bring down their confidence and encourages them not to try as hard. They should not have a merit system unless they can be fair and give it to all kids who turn in their homework and do what is expected of them.

What the last parent said was not true! This school has many problems and not enough room! They test kids in the halls and give them extra help in the halls! They have had to get rid of a student for drugs. Some of the teachers kids get away with everything even beating up another student! My child comes home saying how mean their teacher is the them. They don't have a certified nurse to give the kids the correct care. The school is also VERY DIRTY! The teachers pick favorites and students they don't like and depending on their oppinion thats how they treat the student. I would NOT suggest this school to anyone!

This is a great school! The school has an excellent curriculum and teachers/staff that CARE about every student! The students at the school are great, too! This school doesn't have the issues and problems that ALL of the other schools around here have. My kids love it--and I love knowing that my kids are in a great atmosphere and are getting a terrific education. There have been some administration changes (sometimes it takes making changes to get it right!) and some growing pains, but they are on the right track--they've got a good plan and many exciting changes in the works for the coming year!

So far this year I am not impressed with the leadership of the new principal. I feel the school is more worried about raising funds than the academics. I am extremely disappointed in how the award ceremonies are be handled. Whatever happened to bringing kids on stage with their awards?? I can already see that the testing scores will not be where they were last year and am contemplating pulling my kids from this school.. I have yet to see any changes made to be a improvement.. All the changes that have been done seem to be dragging the school down and at the end of the year the test scores will reveal that. The principal is all talk..Sounds good but doesn't seem to have any follow thru and doesn't listen to the parents..
