Cactus Shadows is a phenomenal high school. Teachers care about their students and make themselves available for extra help whenever needed. They are often seen attending sporting events cheering on the students. There is a tremendous sense of community at the school. The student council is very active and conducts events throughout the year which brings the entire campus together. There are too many clubs to name and between the clubs and the excellent athletic teams every student that attends Cactus Shadows can be involved in something.
Teachers are interested in your student's academic progress as well as personal development. Teachers, staff, and administration support and attend games and events, and are a huge part of the community. Concerns are addressed promptly and the teacher or administration make sure that all parties are satisfied with the result. We are thrilled with our child's experience at Cactus Shadows.
Cactus Shadows High School is an excellent high school. They offer academic programs to meet the needs of every student, including phenomenal college preparatory programs such as the International Baccalaureate Program and college classes. They achieve state and national recognition for many of their athletic teams, clubs and activities. Teachers, counselors and administrators have high expectations to ensure their graduates are college and career ready. The size of the school is perfect so that the students are not just a number. Their teachers know them and the students are friendly. There is no other school in the valley that I would want to send my child.
My child is a highly academic student, and the school offers him the rigor he needs, along with a multitude of clubs, activities and events. They truly create a balanced environment for students. Thank you!
The staff at this school are extremely rude and unaccommodating. The curriculum is basic for the classes my child is enrolled in and I honestly don't see how this school prepares students for college. One year is enough at this school and I'm glad my child will not be attending there next year.
Honestly, this school is a perfect example of when they use the A grade rating to boost their reputation and all of the sudden when your invested in it, it's a huge lie. I've been a student at the school since freshmen year and I felt this school is a lifeless prison of a mediocre list of teachers and unreliable programs that struggles to prepare students for college. The students are horrible at this school specially the student body and stuco, they are disrespectful to their peers and new students from other schools. Overall, this school is horrible in education and everything, if you looking for a strong education that really preps your child for college, consider Pinnacle or Chaparral.
Cactus Shadows is a very fine institution. I'm not going to lie and say that all of their teachers are the best in the state but they aren't the worst. I transferred to Horizon because I moved and anyone who thinks there is a drug or bullying problem should go to Horizon and see how lucky they are. No one pushes drugs on you and no one gets bullied at school. Online is another story. If you are getting bullied online just close your browser! Cactus Shadows has great events and really creative students. I am proud to say I attended Cactus Shadows and will be returning in the fall for my senior year.
