My son recently started at SCDS and it has been a wonderful transition from public school. My son has in a short time started to feel like a member of this community, he is excited to go to school every day, and the staff is for sure going out of their way to make him feel welcome. Steve and Kathy that run the school obviously care about it and the children in it. My son loves all the teachers (he gets to interact with all of them during the specials), and I am so glad that I found this school. I am from the East Coast where private school tuition can easily be 25K a year and higher, so for $5500 a year this school is just amazing!! I feel like my son and I lucked out on this one!

My children attend Scottsdale Country Day School and it is such a wonderful environment for children. My children are thriving and love school. Part of the curriculum is manners and etiquette and let me tell you, all the children are nice. This is not a school that you have to be concerned about bullying because it is just not tolerated. Each morning when I drop off my children there is always an older child holding the door open. The older kids are polite to the younger kids and adults. My children are in kindergarten and have made incredible progress. I feel so blessed to have found this school. Thank you Mr. Steve and Mrs. Kathy for taking such wonderful care of my children and giving them a first class education.

I am so thrilled to have found this school! I have been to two other schools and were not impressed. This school is owned by a husband and wife team who are worldly, bright, kind, warm and professional. The teachers in my son's Pre-K are amazing. This school has found the perfect balance of fun and learning. My son is so happy there - and is writing, drawing, exercising, Signing - wow! All the kids in his class are so warm, delightful, positive, bright and kind to everyone. I am also impressed that they are able to provide such small class sizes for the cost. It is very affordable especially for what you get! Don't be confused by the location (it is located on the grounds of a Jewish Temple). This is NOT a religious school. They just rent space from the Temple! I am so happy to have found such a wonderful place for my child. We are both happy! I feel like I hit the lottery!

The students are truly a focus for the teachers at this school. Each student is viewed as a person by the faculty and is nurtured and taught. We are very pleased with the learning already taking place--the Headmaster is flexible and always looking for ways to improve the learning environment of the school. The students have art, PE, music, Mandarin, newspaper...wonderful classes that the usual public schools are cutting. We are so glad we found this treasure!

I am very excited about the next year at SCDS. My son was transitioning last year from a very difficult environment and the staff at SCDS did an excellent job encouraging him and making him feel comfortable at school. The environment was very nurturing and we are extremely excited about all of the new curriculum being added!

My grandchild attends this school and our entire family are very pleased with the progress she has made. The headmaster and faculty are extremely considerate of each student's needs and are nurturing and caring. The curriculum is stimulating, challenging and even has added bonus classes of mandarin, spanish, music and art. It is very comforting to see how well my grandchild has thrived in this school.

Scottsdale Country Day School is about the children. The SCDS staff works incredibly hard with parents and students to ensure each student is challenged, motivated, and stimulated to continue learning beyond the school day. With tuition starting as low as $4500 per year, SCDS is among the lowest in the state. At SCDS, we all get to know each other very well which is so important for the success of the students. Open communication and a welcoming environment create a place of learning where students thrive and love school! With Mandarin, Spanish, technology, etiquette, drama, art, music, and P.E. all standard aspects of our curriculum, students are afforded a well-rounded educational program. The 15 students maximum per class is so important for students to get the attention they need and deserve. I am very proud to be the principal at SCDS and also the parent of twins who will be students at SCDS.

We are excited to be part of this school. The small class size is a plus allowing each child to have a chance to succeed. In addition, the staff and teachers work hard to provide a quality education experience for each child.

The principal has great leadership qualities and shows great empathy and compassion toward students of all ages. The teachers are qualified and caring. The small class size is a benefit, and the school provides wonderful opportunities for parents to get involved with their children's education.
