I currently have 2 children enrolled, and this will be our last semester at SRRHS. The current administration runs the school like a prison, where attendance is much more important than a proper education. Beyond a small handful of teachers, too many are just putting in the hours. We are very much looking forward to a future high school experience that provides a well rounded education, and an opportunity to expand on student interests. This school offers a very limited cirriculum, and beyond the great business class, there are no essential life skills taught here.

I currently have my third and final child enrolled at SRRHS. I know if is supposedly an "excelling" Arizona school, it is safe and all that but it is far from the top. My son is doing well because he was well prepared during the past three years at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Cottonwood. I personally believe the academics are weak and sports are definitely overemphasized. The Senior Exhibitition process seems to have improved over the years (more academic than silly topics). The students seem courteous and respectful. Comparatively speaking this is a small high school that is gradually building tradition and a history. When I worked in the counseling office more than 5 years ago I learned that a high percentage of graduates go on to attend college but I am not certain what percentage of those either graduate from college or ultimately finish. Seems like a high number drop out or take forever to earn what used to be a four year degree. I also perceive that most of the staff has liberal, politically correct leanings and that is disappointing to me. My other two SRRHS grads are still not in established careers - the oldest being 30 and still attending a community college.

The public school system in Sedona is run by idiots. If you move here with children, send them to Sedona Charter School through 8th grade, then move out of this district. The incompetence of the teachers and administration would be entertaining if it weren't adversely affecting so many young lives.

All of the classes are either too slow or ridiculously overwhelming. The rules are outdated and are in need for some major adjusting. On a high note, the students are more care free than the past high schools I have been to, so it's definitely a safe environment. However, I feel like this school is in need for some major adjustments.

This school focuses mainly on the drama and art departments. We have no wood shop, automotive, or welding classes(classes that will actually benefit students in 'The real world').however, it is a very safe and small school, perfect for the hermit and gypsie children of Sedona.

This is most certainly not one of the finest high schools. The teachers are horrible. There are maybe 2-3 teachers that are above average and that i enjoy. I manage straight A's with hardly no study. Sorry excuse for a school.

Anyone who did not enjoy or appreciate their experience at red rock is probably not a good or determined student. This school is near the best that it gets... The teachers are very involved and genuinlly care about all the students well being and success. The counselers are very involved in getting students prepared and knowledgable about college and we have one in of the highest go-to-college rates of any high school in arizona. This school is not only a great community but a family and it is a wonderful place to grow up. I know, i did. I am currently attending red rock in my junior year but due to economic-related struggles, will be moving to the greater metropolatin phoenix area. I am not excited as no other public school can match the excellence of red rock.

This school has everything! Innovative academics (like Humanities), lots of AP choices these days, sports, art, photography, digital media, drama, and new career options (like hotel and restaurant management). The teachers and administrators work really hard for the kids, and the kids seem to appreciate and are well behaved.

Sedona Red Rock High is not a good school.Every one of my siblings and I went there. I did not have a pleasant experience there. The teachers are mediocre at best. For living in such a wealthy community almost no money is donated to extra-curricular/after school programs.

The school reflects the local demography / social pressures. The faculty are not responsible for the reputation for: Cliques Rude Conduct of some Students at the Sedona Library.
