Grades were posted yesterday on edline. I love that I am able to find out information quickly. Only the upper grades get to leave at lunch. I think an open campus instills responsibility and trust in students. I have had 4 of my own children go through Show Low High School. Yes at times they were discriminated against for what we felt were religious reasons but over all we are very pleased with everything. In life after High School you have to cope with many things that are unfair. I think this school helps to give my children the tools needed to deal with that in real life. We love the extra classes that help them learn about careers that could be open to them with a little more education. The flexible Navit schedules are outstanding. Yes there is way too much emphasis on sports, like every high school. Good job

Disapline is almost non-existant at the school and the grading scales are often unfair. I do not recomend this school, students are given too much freedom, and are even allowed to leave the school campus during the lunch period.

After going to Show Low High for 3 years I thought the school could use a little more help, but what school doesn't ?. The high school needs to get a grip on how they fund their programs and what programs need more and what programs got to much. Over all the school is ok. Maby a little bit more security for the good students.

I am not a parent, but a student. I have attended show low high for three years now. I think that this school is more worried about the social lives than our education. I love how the science teachers have it all together. I give them a thumbs up. The English dept. as well. All in all, I am very dissapointed.

Show Low Junior High and High Schools were a great disapointment to our family. Communication with the High School was extremely poor. Many times I would call in to excuse my child for Dr. appointments, only to find they counted him/her absent anyway. There is very little communication between the attendance, the teachers, and the counseling offices. Teachers also seem to take advantage of any time they can cut a lesson short, or get out of teaching altogether. The last couple of weeks in school are spent playing video games and watching movies. I wish the education of my children had been more of a priority to the staff at Show Low. Even with my weekly involvment it was a constant struggle to communicate with anyone at that school.

I feel, at times, like I'm in the dark as far as my kids academic concerns even though I make myself extremely available to the school and am a very involved parent where my kids are concerned. I get progress reports from only one teacher on a weekly basis, which I greatly appreciate. This isn't enough, however, as I am the foster parent of 2 at risk teen age boys who are very hard to motivate and commit to nothing, much less school. I feel there are many ways to improve this. Something I have been asked, repeatedly, by case managers, judges, casa workers, and so on is if we have access to our kids progress on the internet. It has been mentioned to me that other schools in the area have made this available to the parents. Most are a bit surprised when I tell them that Show Low does not. All in all, I feel Show Low is a good place for my boys to be but would like to know if there is a way for me to know, more often, how they are doing and if there's anything I can do to help.

I feel parents & students are judged on what religion they are. And are given different rules.Thier are some great teachers at S.L.High but take the religion out of the school.Have the same rules for everyone not just a select few. Thank you I also have a dream that my two younger boys will have the same rules as everyone else.

This school does not meet my standards as a good school. It has trouble contacting parents when students are in trouble. It also favors some students over others.
