Imagine Sierra Vista encourages my children to do well. The faculty and staff are always willing to help. The principal and administration have been very cooperative with my family. I wish I could volunteer more of my time with my children's classes, their teachers are wonderful. There are so many after school clubs and activities my children have so much to choose from. I love the environment and encouragement I hear and see as I watch my children begin their day. I know that my kids are getting the best education in an encouraging atmosphere.
I am very happy with my experience here at Imagine. My kids have lived all over the world and have never been excited to come to school until we started there. My kinder is bringing home some of the most innovative projects ive ever seen! My 5th grader loves her teachers and is always working on projects that combine fun and learning (which is nice becuase she is actually willing to do homework!) My middle schooler loves his teachers and is even being taught Spanish and Technology! They have always worked to resolve any concerns I had. As far as bullying, that is a problem ANYWHERE you go, but the principal and dean of students have enouraged my kids to let them know when there is a problem so they can work to get it resolved becuase they dont always know its happening unless theyre told. Thank you Imagine!
With all the interaction I have with my child's education, Imagine really do listen. They absolutely care about the students academics as well as their behavioral habits. The homework given is a true reflection of what is being done at the school. My child loves going to school and always has something positive to say about the teachers, staff, and students. I must give credit where credit is due - well done Imagine!
My children have been attending Imagine for 3 years now. I love this school and most important all 4 of my children love this school. They range in grades from Kinder-5th. My children's strengths and weaknesses differ from one another and I have experianced nothing but encouragement from their teachers. Plus I have worked with the middle school teachers and they are a great team! I noticed parents refering to the teacher turn-over. Those turn-overs are helping our school become a better place. We do have teachers who have been there for many years and they are great teachers. We are so NOT "Lord of the Flies". We follow the same bulling procedures as all AZ public schools aswell as Imagine standards. I must admit that I am a parent, I am on the PTO board, and I am a huge volunteer. I support who and what I believe is best.
I am going to pull my child out of this school due to bully issues...your child is not safe here! I am glad to see that many parents feel the same, I felt betrayed. The school simply lacks structure and standards, its "lord of the flies" at this school. Kids do whatever they want to other kids and get away with it over and over again.
This school has to be the worst in Sierra Vista, AZ. I pulled my child out of this school last year after it was blatantly obvious that she was way behind other children her age that attended other schools in the area. There is no oversight on how they teach your child and when you complain, they don't even take the time to listen to you.
This school is a disaster. And I am quite convinced that the "good" comments are from the school staff themselves. Everyone in Sierra Vista knows this is the worst school of the area by far. Do not be fooled by the flashy website. They market well they just don't teach well or give a good example to the students. This Charter school is all about business and your children are simply a means to that end. The turn-over on teachers and students is excessive. The academic curriculum is simplistic and unchalleging due to the poor quality in staff and leadership. Avoid this school if you love your kids.
We moved from the Mesa Public Schools last year and my children both maintained Honor Roll and Principal's list. They were also involved in athletics - basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball; and other extra-curricular activities. My son is an introvert, but was able to come out of his shell and make new friends. The teachers have motivated my children to excel and become independent thinkers. The principal has great confidence and enthusiasm for this school. The staff are friendly and willing to help when needed. I support Imagine in its efforts to maintain a high quality education and caring environment.
I recommend never letting your child be subject to the subpar teaching that is going on here. My child was so far behind after being enrolled in this school that we had to get a tutor for her to catch up. Also, the staff is very unresponsive to bullying issues that take place on school grounds. We almost had to get the police involved for them to take action on a problem my daughter had with a bully. Our recommendation is "any school but this one!"
By far the worst school in Sierra Vista. My son was a straight A student until he spent a year at Imagine. There is a high teacher turn-over which effects not only the stability of the students but the consistency in the curriculum. The teachers that are retained are of low quality and lack motivation. The principal is by far the weakest link in this failing school. The school just seems to "get by" with minimal effort by the staff and with no significant improvments to your child's education.
