My two sons have been in Imagine Prep Surprise for 1 year, and starting the year off this year since August the 1st. This school is great if your students have any troubles with something. The princible is always here to help. The classroom sizes are horrible. One class usually consits of about 34 students, and i was expecting ( from the princible talking about the class sizes ) for about 20 people in a class. VERY dissapointing since my sons were looking foward to smaller class sizes. The front office staff are very rude and unhelpful. My younger son went to the nurse and they didn't help him after about 30 minutes, It seems like you aren't even there, they look up from their phone, and they begin texting again. VERY unsatisfied. Most teachers at this school act like they want to be "the cool teacher" rather then learning. They would just mess around rather then spending time with the students knowledge.
Imagine Prep at Surprise is a a really good charter school. My son has attended Imagine schools since fourth grade. He was placed in Imagine's grade school Rosefied in Surprise in fourth grade, and liked it so much he decided to stay with his Imagine family throughout his high school years. His only complaints.... They don't have hall lockers and a band class. Imagine does not permit bullying, fighting or excessive school absences. Parents are encouraged to participate in school activities and classes. School provides a power school notification system, which allows parents to see how their kids are doing. The teachers work with the students to help them achieve their goals. Although they do have a uniformed dress code, it is somewhat relaxed now. Everyone there is very kind and the school has a friendly atmosphere. If you like myself are fed up with the public school system, and want to try a charter, I encourage you to try Imagine Schools. Your kids will thank you.
This is my daughter's first year here. There are ample opportunities for student involvement. She is in several clubs, being challenged academically, and enjoys the smaller environment as opposed to a public school. Communication with administration, teachers and parents is above average. I would recommend this school to parents.
We love this school! This is the fourth year my daughter has attended Imagine Prep. The staff members are always professional and available. Most importantly I feel that my daughter is being prepared not only for an outstanding education, but for an outstanding life as well.
Prep is definitely the right name for this school! They are not just prepping our kids for college, but for life in the real world. Great staff that actually care about our children. I'm so glad we chose Imagine Prep.
My school is a great school because they have made my child feel so appreciative. She was struggling at her old school and we decided to move her. They see her "out of the box" outlook as an asset. They have really helped her feel like she belongs and love it. She is thinking about staying for high school there as well. If they keep up the good work...I am so for it! They have done a great job with her and also keeping us informed Thank you Imagine Prep for seeing my daughter as an asset!
I love the schools the rosefield and the middle school are by far the best. I have seen my kids more happy. They have been to many charter schools and I love this one.great staff and teachers! !
Imagine Prep has been a great experience thus far. This is our son's first year there and he is really enjoying it. We had concerns with having 6th grade/middle school with high schoolers. But that is no longer a concern. The teachers and administration are all very professional. It has only been a month since school started but I believe it will be a great year for our son.
To answer the question about Summer programs at Imagine Prep, my student was fortunate to take part of two Social Nights that included open gym and a trip to the movie theater!. I also know that they had Sports Camps, but my student was not interested.
My son is in his fourth year at Imagine Prep and he has loved every year more than the last. We are very happy with his education and the opportunities for leadership, athletics and clubs. The administration is approachable and exceptional. The Cambridge program is going well and we look forward to another school year where his intellect can be stimulated and challenged. I feel confident that he is in the best possible place. Thanks to the teachers and administrators of Imagine Prep putting their heart and soul into our children's education. That's the way a school should be.
This school is so wonderful and it is great with one on one with its students
This school is absolutely amazing. The principal has gone out of his way to make sure that my son graduates and is determined to see him through to completion. My daughter just started this week and I'm so excited and can't wait to hear about her experiences. There are many clubs to join and the teachers go above and beyond to help your child succeed. I love this school. Thank you Imagine Prep for being such an amazing success!!!
The best run school in the district ! Amazing leadership and staff!! I highly recommend you check it out.
Imagine Prep is a unique school in my opinion because it has a culture of acceptance and justice that they work on consistently throughout the year. My disabled child have NEVER been mistreated by his classmates. And the staff is committed to the best interest of the individual child. Last year, I called with a concern, and there is a meeting with ALL of my son's teachers within days. They are discerning and are invested in their families and I am very happy with the school.
Exceptional High School. This school administration and staff believe in teaching their students core values and then using them in all aspects of their education. They gear their studies to prepare students for the world outside of High School. Whatever their goal may be: college, trade school, or employment, Imagine Prep works to make the student successful.
This school is full of leadership development and opportunity both at the middle school and high school level. Because of this, many students will have opportunities they will not gain anywhere else.
This is my 3rd year at Imagine Prep, and my first year as a high school student. I absolutely LOVE it! It is a really fun school, and because it is quite small, we're a very close knit family who always support each other. Imagine Prep is implementing the new Cambridge International program, which can get students who succeed in it to complete their basic college credits during the last two years of high school. Our principal is the best, because he really interacts with the students, and talks to us personally if we need attention with something or just want to talk. He is really understanding, and if someone, or a group has a new idea that they want to add to the school, then he is quick to set up a meeting and discuss it with them. The teachers are really great and easy to contact or get help from if you need tutoring or other help. It was for me the perfect step up from its sister school, Rosefield. Overall it is a super amazing school, and I am really glad to be a part of it, and look forward to going to school everyday!
Both my boys and I love the school. My kids enjoy the small class sizes. The teachers know the kids by their first name and they care about the success of every kid. The extra activities offered like Media, Robotics, sport clubs like track & field, soccer, basketball, and flag football, drama, band/rock club are excellent to keep the kids busy and enthused in school. Excellent school
This school was HORRIBLE. And i still regret the day setting foot on campus grounds. There theater and technology were modest. But lack of direction, education, and discipline doesn't make it worth the try. I had such high hopes for the school last year , but they quickly turned sour after being sent to detention 3 times for not having the proper color shoes. This really upset me, but what made me furious was having to switch out classes when being fed up by lack of directions from a certain teacher. He actually had the nerve to ask us why we weren't learning and therefore we spent countless class periods telling him why we didn't care about his class. They seem to care more about how you dress or speak to the teachers than how much you are really learning. There were a few teachers that changed my life and will always cherish their guidance, but since have left the school for "better opportunities" which I don't blame them. all in all I was quite ashamed of myself for allowing my mother to put me in this school and the day I left was the day I started to actually learn.
This school really pushes continued education beyond high school. Many of the high schoolers have applied for and received grants and scholarships! Way to go!
