Our daughter started at this school at about 16 months of age with almost no knowledge of French. She has since learned many French words, understands requests in French and is learning many new songs. She loves going here every single day and even gets excited before we leave the house in the morning saying "school! school!" with a big smile on her face. She likes all of the teachers at the school and the environment is so warm and friendly. All of the children here seem to do so well and the teaching staff and co-founders are not only very experienced with teaching children but they really love them as well.
My Daughter is 4 years old and she has been with the Frencham since its opening in August 2010. I was recommended to go and see Corinne Arnout (French Am co-founder and Principal) by my French neighbor who was at the time the Vice President of Alliance Fran aise Scottsdale. We are very happy with the school and my daughter NEVER want to leave the school when i pick her up at 3:30 because she LOVES being there so much.
We have 2 boys, 3 & 5, who attend the French American School of Arizona. They started at the end of the school year in 2011. We do not speak French at home, but they are already beginning to understand words and phrases. They absolutely love the school and their teachers. We love the small class size and individualized attention the boys receive. Both Corinne and Patrice are great people, and they are very passionate about their school.
Our son came into the French American school without any French knowledge or background at the age of 3. From day one he adored his teachers and has thrived ever since being there. By the end of the year his comprehension level has increased dramatically and is speaking basic phrases as well. He tells his Dad everyday that his Dad needs to learn how to speak French, too! We love the small school atmosphere and careful attention to not just the children's education but their well being as well. Highly recommend this school and excited to continue our son's education here!
My two children (about to turn 5 and 3 years old) attend the French American school and are thriving there. We moved to Arizona in the fall of 2010 after 5 years in Paris and both of our children were raised tri-lingual, with French and English as the dominant languages. I expected my 4-year old daughter's fluency in French to decrease after leaving France but thanks to the school's immersion program, her French is as strong as it was when we lived in Paris (to my great relief and delight). My son's mastery of French is excellent for a 2-year old. We are delighted with the school and its nurturing approach. We also like the international feel of the school. Class size is small, which means the students get a lot of attention. Corrine Arnout, the principal and founder, used to run the preschool at the Int'l School of Arizona and she is experienced, patient, and dedicated. She is flexible with after-school care arrangements, which is very helpful for us.
