My student is having a very positive experience at Fees and is excelling academically. There are several wonderful and exceptional teachers in many subjects. The school has a very strong music program of band, choir, and orchestra. Also, there are many great electives for students to choose from. My student thinks the industrial tech and wood shop electives are great.
My child is currently in eighth grade and has had a very positive experience while at Fees. The school has continued to try and make changes that support more parent involvement and allow for the students needs to be met. The many after school programs support a variety of students needs.
The environment at this school appears to be them vs us. Many of the teachers that I dealt with do not seem the least bit interested in the children or their parents. Instead of motivating students, they are more apt to look for any opportunity to discredit the child. The PTA is held during the day which stops any parent involvement. The school should be renamed Fees Ego School because it really is not about teaching children.
Some of the teachers at Fees are great, and unfortunately, others need to move on. We do not have the option of requesting our child's teachers due to the team concept. The music programs are the best, which is the main reason I have kept my kids at Fees.
Some of the best teachers that care about my child and her future. Great Job Staff, Keep up the Great Job..... Thank You
I work for this district, and have many opinions from several different co-workers and parents. Many of my co-workers travel to 2 or 3 schools like I do. All though Fees received an underperforming score from the state, my children's teacher's at Fees, are extremely involved and attentive to their learning. I have one in 6th and one in 8th. One is an honor student, and the other is As and Bs. This population of students will continue to thrive and do well during the challenging time ahead of Fees to bring the rest of the population up to higher scores. Parent participation is split down the middle, and the result of that I believe is that students do much better when you are involved and aware of whats going on, and our students do suffer with parents that are not involved, resulting in lower scores, lower confidence, drastically lower attendance, and a pattern that is very hard to overcome.
We moved to AZ from PA almost 2 years ago. I was very concerned about my son changing schools and starting middle school at the same time. Fees has proved to go beyond my expectations in every regard. I take my son's education very seriously and feel that we were so lucky to be continuing his education at Fees.
