The school is performing plus this year and always makes my child feel like she's worth the time! She is learning SO much this year and I am so glad we brought her to this school.

Great Teachers, Great School

My 2 sons went to school for the in 2007 - 2008 first year it was open. The teachers there are overwhelmed with extremely large class sizes and little to no budget. Luckily they were very involved teachers and I am sure spent a great deal of money out of their own pockets to make the year bearable for their students. It will be a long time until Saddle Mountain School District has itself straightened out. - Mom of 3 in Saddle Mountain Schools

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.

For high schools, AIMS results, AYP status and graduation/dropout rates are used. Schools are identified as Excelling, Highly Performing, Performing Plus, Performing, Underperforming, Failing to Meet Academic Standards or Pending.
