Gridley Middle School is an AMAZING school! Coming from a student of 3 years at this school, currently an 8th gader, the teachers are absolutely outstanding and awesome to us, and Mrs. Sheppe, the principal, new my name on my first day and never forgot it, along with every other teacher, and i feel like they are all my best friends! Gridley is a fantastic choice for new 6th graders, because everyone i know has loved their experience with Gridley! GO GRIZZLIES!!!

i am not proud of gridley. the students can be obnoxis and rather rude. my children of 18 16 and 13 have all attended gridley and all have had not bright experiecnces at that school. staff can be unprofessional and discrimanating. what i have heard from my children is apauling. i have pulled my 13 year out of that school to attend magee. i had high standards for that school and they have not quite met them. not everyone has the same learning chance. your experences may be different but mine is repulsive.

As grandparents and legal guardians to an exceptional Gridley MS student we remain most appreciative of the understanding and support we have experienced from his Teacher, Teacher Assistants, Assistant Principal, Nurse,Nursing Staff, School Counselor, and Principal that kept our exceptional student IN school throughout the school year. This is a great reflection of a Principal actually partners with staff and parents to help students experience acceptance, personal success and an education be they exceptional or not.

Well, another school year is about to end and we remain delighted with the excellent service Gridley Middle School has provided to us in regard to our Exceptional Student again this year. Thanks to his user-friendly teacher and a very supportive school atmosphere (where staff actually work well together in order to benefit students) we were able to keep our exceptional student in school in spite of his numerous memory deficits and behavioral challenges. Thanks Gridley!

My son is entering the 8th grade at Gridley this year and we are extremely pleased with the quality education he has received thus far. The principal, Mrs. Scheppe, is a very involved, positive, firm administrator. She is at parent drop-off/pick-up every day, greeting the children by name and getting to know them. As I parent, I appreciate seeing her ensure that our children are safe and she is aware of what is happening on campus. The assistant principal, Mr. Davies, is also very involved with the students and has no tolerance for bullying, disrespect, etc. The team-approach that Gridley implements ensures excellent communication between parents and teachers. The teachers and administration run a tight ship and maintain a high academic standard. I highly recommend Gridley!

This is not a school I would ever recomend to any parent. the teachers mainly Mrs. Rau have got no business being teachers. The principle has got to have some sort of clue. But dealing with her just proves that she really has no clue what goes on. except her laughing and thinking everything is funny. I'm very dissapointed in TUSD. for them to allow the continuation of bad teaching is rediculus. DONT SEND YOUR CHILD THERE!!!!!!!!

I have had one child graduate from Gridley and now have another in her second year there. The teacher and administration support is wonderful. My first child loved the drama activities offered. My second child is in accellerated, advanced and GATE classes. There are study groups and academic support galore. Those who doubt TUSD provides a good education really need to take a better look. My 2nd and 1st graders are anxious to become Grizzlies!

Gridley is an incredible school because they take the time to acknowledge children who work hard in behavior and achieve high standards in their academics. At the end of every quarter children with no referrals get to attend an award party. At the end of a child's schooling at Gridley children who have maintained an A average GPA get to go out on a day of a limo ride to various places including lunch. Each child gets a bag full of coupons for free items to be redeemed at businesses within the area of Gridley. Thanks to the wonderful PTA who spends hours getting businesses to donate these coupons. Way to go Gridley! Show these children that hard work pays off!

We have had three children attend Gridley. The principal, staff and teachers are wonderful and caring. Our oldest daughter went on to University High School and did well. Our son required special attention and the teachers and counselors worked closely with us and him to help him succeed. They put together an IEP specifically for him to meet his situation. He is now doing very well in high school. Our youngest daughter is doing very well at Gridley now. She is in orchestra and her teacher continues to encourage and inspire her as she learns to master the viola.

Gridley is a wonderful middle school with caring and attentive teachers who are doing the very best with the children under the terrible conditions that are troubling our public school system.
