If I could rate this a zero I would. As you can see by the test scores they are consistently underachieving. Therefore the teachers are constantly out for workshops so the kids have many substitutes and very little continuity. Its pretty hard to get involved when the teachers arent there. I don't blame the school but the district as they only give the school money when it underachieves. The scores go up then they take away the money and scores drop. My child K was also left behind by the so called monitor and walked out of school grounds. The school took zero accountability. In fact they lied about it. I heard from other parents that it happened before and that in one case a 1st grader was allowed on the wrong bus 10 mikes from home. Luckily he knew his home phone number. We have since found a much better school. Well worth the drive.
MY CHILDREN HAVE ALL GONE THERE AND HAVE HAD GREAT COMMUNICATION FROM BOTH THE PRINCIPAL AND TEACHERS. I AM A PARENT THAT IS INVOLVED WITH THE EDUCATION OF MY CHILDREN. I HELP OUT WITH ANYTHING THAT I CAN, WHEN IT COMES TO THE SCHOOL. I LIKE IT WHEN I AM ON SCHOOL GROUNDS, AND I GET GREETED BY NAME BY BOTH TEACHERS AND ADMINISTRATORS. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! ROBERT POU JR.
HORRIBLE! My daughter went missing for 45 minutes from school and were not notified until the next day! THEN, a teacher yelled at my daughter (Kinder) and yanked her by her arm off a slide! DONT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE!! The principal only denies the wrong doing of her teachers!!!!
The teachers and administration work very hard to help students achieve. There are several opportunities for parents and community to be involved in evening activities. I just hope the TUSD down sizing doesn't hurt what they have started here.
