I went to Tanque Verde as a child, and have nothing but good memories. The teachers there were kind and caring, and the curriculum was challenging. I only wish that we lived close enough for my child to attend it also.

We came to this school last year from a TUSD school. I couldn't be happier. My kids have learned a lot more and the school has helped my 1st grader to read better without any humiliation. Yes, there are financial/political disagreements, but what school doesn't have them? All the staff are very friendly and kind. There is a ton of opportunities for parent envolvement, and all are taken advantage of. There is band, and the teacher is great! There are plenty of after school activities for children to get involved in. This school is just all around fun to be in!

The district this school is in is constantly undergoing political termoil Frustrating at best. Academically, this school is a wonderful school in an upscale community that promotes parent involvement. For grades 4-6 there are many opportunities for after school activities. The after-school care at TVE is exceptional.

Because of the early screening program, my daughter has had a greater opportunity to progress in school.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
