re: Review of 2/23/2010 - this person recieved a "scholership "(sic). How come I actually believe that? No wonder they have a rating of one!

I acually graduated from this school and I'm currenly going to college because I got a scholership with their help. so it's not true that your not encoreged to go to college and all I can say is that no school is bad but that your children take the advanteges they want to take.

all the bad reviews are such a lie!! this school is the best! Ive been to many other schools and none of them offer what cesar Chavez does.if anything its the students that decide to make a fool of our school knowing sister Judy and the staff do nothing but help us and give us the best

Cesar chavez has a rep of being a bad school well i can tell yeah the school has its problems here and there i mean come now what school dosent. At this school students stand up for eachother. This school makes you feel like part of a family the director judy bisignano is always there to help you in a time of need she gets you anything you need or for your family. O and by the way our school isint at 6th and if someone has a problem on how the school looks then donate some money and help us out so we can get a better building

Be warned! The reviewer, Judy Bisignano, is the director, not a parent.

This school is doing what most others couldn't imagine doing in their wildest dreams and best of days. It is truly exceptional; run by exceptional people

This school seeks to serve students, many of whom face enormous challenges, in the most caring, competent and dedicated manner possible. Every teacher works his or her heart out every day to ensure that the students at this school have a chance at opportunities that they truly merit, despite a system that is steeply stacked against them. Standardized tests cannot quantify the difficulties that many of our students must overcome just to be in school, and test scores can be deceptive. Many of our students are just learning English, and the AIMS test does not reflect the extent of their knowledge and the amazing abilities and talents they possess. This school may not look like much from the outside, but it is an amazing place of new opportunities and second chances. I am proud to work at Cesar Chavez, and I am grateful to be here each day.

I do not reccomend this school for any child. The academic standards are very low. Teacher turn over is very high. When a problem needs to be addressed the staff is unresponsive. During staff meetings with students foul language is used, then the students are exspected not to use the same launguage. But kids learn by example. The school is unable to meet the needs of a student that is advanced. Even a child with a disability would not benefit from this school.
