Please visit and ask to spend time during the day and evening on campus before you send your son or daughter. I highly doubt it is a feeder school into the University of Arizona.

I spent 3 months at Fenster when I was 15 It was the most traumatizing and traumatic experience of my life. The structure of the school is not what it is advertised to be. Parents if you care about your children don't send them there.

My son is currently a Fenster student and I have been pleased with the academic portion of his stay at Fenster. (The reason I sent him there was to help build his academic confidence) He is a highly able student that was doing very poor work. His grades have improved, hence, I am happy. he is actually taking some college level courses which would not have been an option back home. The staff and students are very friendly and welcoming to all who arrive. I always get my son's grades on Friday morning and he loves the fact that I'm so happy about them....The one thing I must say is you have to know your child and what his/her needs are.

I would not recommend this school. My son was there for about five months and the place is not a positive environment ,the school lacks structure the very thing it prides itself with.

My son went to this school and graduated one year early as a junior in 2006. I do believe he did benefit because of the structure and academics. Unfortunately he has character flaws that no one can fix....immaturity and selfishness. It was a blessing for us anyway that we could have a peaceful household that did not revolve around what he was going to do next. The school is a great alternative to ruining your family life and is much better than sending your child to military school. Fenster uses a boys town approach, and the headmaster is #1. He understands somehow and helps so much to make you feel comfortable with your decision. This is a punishment of sorts to send your child away, but also a tremendous priviledge for them to grow and learn in a great enviornment. I would recommend it highly.

Given the situation we were in and the direction our daughter was headed, this has turned out to be worth the investment. While it hasn't always been easy, it has given our daughter a second chance to get her grades in line and learn how to be more responsible. She is graduating this May 2006 and she now has options she would not have previously had. In additon, sending her to Fenster allowed for some peace and saneness to resume in our household. If you are in this situation. I would recommend Fenster and also advise you to be patient for the results.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
