I recently graduated my oldest child from Desert Christian High School after watching her grow through 12 amazing years here. I am convinced that her success in school has a lot to do with the teachers - who truly take an interest in the kids and view their jobs as ministries as well as professions - and the class sizes - which are small enough for a child to not get lost. I work in large schools in a large district, and am convinced that my particular child would have fallen through the cracks there. Instead she grew from and insecure, inhibited child who didn't know how to succeed, to one who knew what she wanted out of school and did the work it took to achieve it; all with the caring guidance of her very special teachers and other staff. All I can add is that this experience makes me look forward with great expectation and excitement toward my other child's remaining 10 years at Desert.

Desert Christian Middle School, the school I attend, isnt the best, but it's better than a public school. There are about 6 teachers total so each teacher teaches several classes. I've been going here for two years, and personally, i'm sick of having the same teachers 3 or 4 times a day. The class sizes are perfect with about 14 kids per teacher. Another negative point for me, is that we are with the same people all day, except for math. It is split 6a, 6b, 7a, 7b, 8a, and 8b. You travel with your class everywhere whether your with your friends or not. Desert Christian Middle School is not a college prep school. They have one advanced class, math, but its only one grade higher (you're in 6th grade, but your doing 7th grade math). If you sont plan on overachieving in Middle School, then Desert is great for you!

The teacher go above and beyond to help the students. The teachers not only deeply care for the students, they truly loves each and every one!

This Middle school offers a rich cirriculum and a positive environment. Here your kids learn confidence and virtues. There are also mission oppourtunities and excellent teachers, plus an amazing principle. They are interested in what the kids want, and their parents.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
