The absolute worst school we have ever encountered. Tutoring is offered but when the students do try to get help they encounter students being disciplined in the same classroom who are a distraction to the teacher. Teacher sits at desk and plays on MacBook, no tutoring occurs but they can document that they offered it. The good teachers leave here and go elsewehre as Lydia Crain the principal needs to be fired for what she allows to occur. Do not place your child here if you care about them and want them to get good instruction. Grades adusting occurs to meet requirement for excelling school. Students moved to next grade that had failing grades.
My daughter was an excellent student from the 1st to the 5th grade and started 6th grade at RVMS. However, she was placed into the 7th grade math class. She struggled for the first time in her academic life. Her mom and the teacher wanted her to try it for a few weeks. I wanted her back into the 6th grade math class. I felt she missed many fundamental 6th grade math basics. My daughter recovered and is once again a straight "A" student with the help of the excellent math teacher. Certainly one of the finest public schools in southern Arizona.
