The local Newspaper, The Wickenburg Sun, reported today that half of the Freshman class is failing at least one class. YIKES!! The principal's response was that "at least they have spirit, They have even more spirit than the Seniors!" I guess this is the result of over crowded classrooms and not enough teachers?!?! Online High Schools are looking better all the time!

An Excellent School...Wickenburg High School has outstanding academic, athletic, and activities programs. Respectful and hard working students, a positive and safe environment. Caring, good teachers and administrators. I am fortunate to be able to have my children go to this school.

One of the Nations Best Schools! By any measure; academics, activities, athletic, facilities, students, parents, community support, teachers, administrators, Wickenburg High is a terrific school. I am very fortunate to live in Wickenberg and have my two children go to Wickenburg High School.

This school is not poorly put together, its a small town highschool. The teachers here are aware of grades and policies. There may be a bump in the road but Wickenburg pulls together and unite. That's because we are alll family and help one and other.

This school is poorly put together. There are very little after school programs, and the teachers seem very unaware of the problems that go on in this school.

In 2004-2005, Wickenburg instituted a terrific feature whereby parents can be informed of grades by email every day, if they choose. The information includes tardies, and absences and is down to the individual assignment -- so if your child is not contributing in class, or doing OK on his tests but blowing off his homework, or vice versa, you know as soon as the teacher enters each assignment grade. You can also e-mail any teacher at any time to find out what improvement is needed. Due to this continuous feedback, we were able to shepherd our student from C+ performance to almost straight As. Wickenburg HS has superior facilities for band and drama, including its own professional-sized auditorium. Its rifle club may be the only one in the country that shoots high-power instead of smallbore, and competes in the nationals each year. The school also boasts a very well provisioned culinary program.

One of the things that impresses me about Wickenburg is that they will call me if my child is not doing well, even though he is a Senior this year. I feel like they really care whether or not he is successful.
