My children both love this school and their teachers. I have had only welcoming and positive experiences here. There is a generally positive atmosphere at this cute little school. My children have become great readers and writers and have performed well on the state tests. I'm not sure why there is such poor ratings from others but I have only had great experiences. They truly have very caring teachers at this school.

From the moment my child stepped foot in this school there was NOTHING but problems. I gave it 2 years and that was MORE then enough. My child would cry every day when it was time to go to school. There were problems I was never told about. There were issues that were never disclosed to me or my husband. When i got him into a different school I didn't hesitate. The only good thing about this school was leaving it. Good luck with your children in this school if they aren't the "teacher's pet"!!!

I am an active parent volunteer at this school. I have not had any problems with teachers. However, very few parents get involved. The teachers would love to have parents come help. My kids love their teachers and I know they are getting a great education and by being there, I know what they are learning.

All of my children have attended this school. It has given them the skills they need to become good readers and critical thinkers. The teachers care about the students. There is a diversity among students but the teachers try hard to give all students a good start in their learning.

The academic programs are in extreme need of review. The school has a 'no-fail' policy which in turn does not provide many studnts with the skills they need to be successful in the next grade. Being a rural school, extracurricular activities are limited but they are occasionally given to educational field trip to excellent locations. Involved parents will find some frustration in communicating with the school and parent participation in activites is very low.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. GreatSchools' profiles currently show AIMS mathematics, reading and writing results. 2013 AIMS grade 10 results represent on-track 10th graders for the 2013 test year. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
