I teach kindergarten (thanks to the parent who posted on NOV 2009). Love teaching here, love the kids, love the changes. If you haven't visited recently, do so. It's a different school. I love it.

As a former teacher at this school my suggestion to you would be take your children and put them in a regular public school. The principal is disrespectual to her students and her staff. I ended up leaving and filed my complaints with the state. Public schools have more resources and more professionals to deal with any kind of resource needs a child may have. As a professional, who used to work there and blew the whistle on this school and have had first hand experience with this school this place is not a place for any person -- much less a child!

I too find this school to be unacceptable. The administration doesn't know what they are doing, the food is garbage, they don't have the proper materials to teach our children, and they talk down to the students as well as the staff. I pulled my daughter out last year and put her in a public school. Best decision of my life! I suggest if your child attends this school, you do the same.

This school is not horrible. its parents like the one who posted this comment on April 22nd. Its easy to complain when your not with your kid and dont see whats really going on with the students. maybe if you took the time to come down and spend the day there with your child(ern) you could see. Ive been there to see progress in my children. So why would Youngtown be a Performing Plus school. As parents we need to do research on the schools we send are kids to. Thats what i did and no school in el mirage has a performing plus record and there are only a few schools in surprise.

I don't know who the parents were that wrote comments on March 7, 2010 or for April 22, 2010, but I do know this is a Preforming Plus school not underperforming. You know the state put the wrong marks. Look it up. I do know the Principal has a lot of compassion for every person in the school. Every student is treated with respect and is loved. The students have been excelling at YPCS. Yeah!! I know my kids love it here and want to continue. It is too bad some parents don't get all the facts before the blast the school. My kids love the food at the school. You know every kid only wants pizza and chips for lunch. Not here, they really think about what is being served and it is balanced. I am sad some parents only grade the school for a moment in time.

This is a HORRIBLE school does not even deserve 1 star. I pulled my children out after the principal treated my kids very poorly she talks down to the children and makes them feel horrible about themselves but in front of the parents will pretend they care about the children. My children did not learn anything from this school besides how to feel sad and not want to go everyday so please check other schools before you decide to place your innocent child in this school.

This school doesn't have good nutritious food for students nor does it have recreation or a chance for students to succeed. I wouldn't recommend students to go to this school because administration is one sided and doesn't support teachers or parents. My student is going to this school and will be their last year. If your student is going to this school get them to a more educated school.

Do not send your kids here. This school was the worst place I've ever sent my child. The administration is horrible and I have to wonder if they even know what they are doing. It's more like a prison than a school. How the church allows such behavior is beyond me!
