Even with the loss of their great Principal Cazares, OC Johnson has been able to excel without him. The new Principal Neuman has a great heart for the student, parent, and staff. The teachers are wonderful and they make learning wonderful with their creativeness. I am a happy and proud parent from OC Johnson!

OCJ is a wonderful little school with teachers that know and care about their students. The principal is kind and tough, and pushes his teachers to excel. Their scores have gone up each yr that he has been in at the school, and will continue to do so.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 Arizona used the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) to test students in reading and mathematics in grades 3 through 8 and 10, writing in grades 5, 6, 7, and 10, and in science in grades 4, 8 and 10. AIMS is a standards-based test, which means that it measures how well students have mastered Arizona learning standards. Students must pass the grade 10 AIMS in order to graduate. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards on the test.
