***Yuma Adventist Christian School is a Jewel of a School*** Our children LOVE this school, the lovely teachers, their excellence in education, the diversity, the freedom from disruptive bullies. All the modern techniques such as computer use are blended with the best of historical education almost like a classical education. These wonderfully gifted teachers are skilled, multi-level classroom credentialled, Nationally Certified Teachers who are practicing Christians that elevate Jesus. Favoritism is not given for children of Adventist leadership, rather, they are very Biblical and not respectors of persons. . NO tolerance for bullies, cliques, or intimidation, unlike other Christian Schools we tried. *TAKE NOTE: Please DO NOT send your undiscaplined, poorly control child, or selfishly take advantage of the awesome learning environment!) Our children love the individual attention, the fairness and challenges that keep them interested. We are so thrilled to experience a school that has zero tolerance for bullies, regardless of the parents status in the community. These teachers/ principal walk their talk. Lots of crafts, Chapel and music education on Fridays. YACS is a Godsend.

This school offers a fundamental Christian education for grades K-8th. This is a place where students can become part of a close knit school family; where scholastic achievement is enhanced by a low teacher to student ratio. They have excellent teachers who have zero tolerance for bullying. I would feel very confident in sending my child to this school.

We have recently moved to Yuma and have been very disappointed in the public school system.. I have placed my son at Yuma Adventist and have seen a big improvement in his learning!!! Where can you find a school that has 9 students in a class with a teacher and aide..They spend a lot of one on one time with your child. Joan and Mrs. B have been a blessing in our lives.. I highly recommend this school!!!

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
