Gravette has some strong points. A new building. A great football coach. And some test scores indicate higher learning. The school is limited in what it can offer. It's not a big school. Students that can't compete or survive in the superior Bentonville High School transfer out here. There's bascially one class for most things besides math, science, english. Only about 10% of the students have an opportunity to excel in a specialized course. . The test scores you see are produced by a narrow margin of students. At GHS 80% of your students are below average and could care less. The top 20 take all the honors. GHS isn't bad it's just mediocre at best. It's a place to go and slide by. Students that score below 20% on the benchmarks are tutored at school until they can present a acceptable test score and they they are promoted to the next grade. GHS is turning out some great students. Unfortunely it's also turning out some horrible students. the good ole boy system can be used to drag a child through high school when he/she can't even score more than 15 on an ACT. Oh and teenage pregnancy is not frown upon here, it's celebrated.

Gravette is an ok school. Don't expect great things. Its an average school. Most teachers seems to care more about themselves than the student. Try finding out what your childs grade it. the online grading system is sporadically updated. Grades seem to change overnight.
