My children enjoy this school and the teachers are great and diciplined yet they are overworked but what teacher in any school district isn't. I wish they had an afterschool program for the elementary school. The school district needs a stronger reading program, there are quite a few students still having trouble reading, maybe a reading before or after school program may help.

I have moved to Heber from Memphis TN and found this school to be huge, with over-crowded classes and a stressed teaching staff. I would not want my grandson attending this school... ever.

This entire 'academic' system in the community is riddled with politics and preoccupied with its sports program. The needs of the students are secondary in regards to the agenda of a bureaucratical 'school board' and their nepotistic mind set. The school as a whole doesn't represent a diverse cirriculum or demographic regarding ethnicity. Set in a 'rural' county of Arkansas this public school is quite appealing to those which seek a sequestered community mentality.

My daughter is a student at Heber Springs Elementary right now, and this school is one of the best schools I've seen. There are smaller classes than you would see in a larger community, and there is a good teacher- student relationship.
