it starts at 7:45 and ends at 3:45 which is about 9 hours long the only breck you get is lunch I haven't learned anything during transition there is no time to go to the bath room they are so harsh that is you miss one homework you stay in after school
The middle school is split between 2 buildings. Teachers keep quitting every year, and the principal at the beginning of the year is no longer the "lead" principal. He's done such a poor job with the students, teachers, and parents that he was demoted to a "newly create" position that is not even within the Lighthouse Charter. My family's kids aren't learning ANYTHING and they miss the teachers who left them for better working conditions. Seriously consider OTHER schools.
The education received in the upper grades at the main campus of this school is subpar due to discipline problems stemming from a lack of follow through at the administration levels. The student knows there will not be major punishments and they act accordantly. Many of the students act the way they should but the few students can make for a disruptive class and school. Most of the teachers are wonderful and really care about the students education. They will work with the student to help the student achieve and reach their highest potential when the student is willing to try. The teacher do try their best even with classroom management but their hands are tied by actions of the administration. I pulled my child out of the school because of a lack of discipline within the school as a whole. Maybe in a few years when the people in charge learn how to run a school and start keeping teacher for more than a few months the school will improve. The idea behind the school is wonderful and would really be of some use if it was put into action.
