I visited Lakeside Elementary School in November, 2011 for two days. I was visiting my granddaughter who teaches Spanish to the k, 1 and 2 grades. Her classes were well controlled and she had them speaking Spanish most of each period and then she had some active exercises that she would use to teach them vocabulary words. Discipline was excellent. The children well mannered and courteous throughout the school. The prinicipal is exceptional. He has compassion, care and concern for all of the students and staff. His daily announcements set the tone for each day and the students know that he is there to help them and the teachers and staff. A Thanksgiving assembly was given and it was most refreshing to see students singing song about America and showing their pride in their country. Every teacher I saw or met has compassion and love for their positions and students. As a former teacher it was refreshing to be at this school. God bless them all. Suzanne G. This school is a mess. There is no discipline at all. The kids act so bad that it takes away from their learning time. The teachers try to follow disciplinary actions; however most of the time the principals do not follow through with the correct discipline measures. There is no parent involvement except for the same few. The students cannot even do coloring sheets because they go wild. That is not fair to the other students who want to learn. The teachers spend too much time with all the bad students. As a parent I would not reccomend this school to anyone who takes their child's education seriously!

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Oops! We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Public and charter school test scores for most states come from the state Department of Education. The most common reasons we might not have this data are either that not enough students took the test or that the school was recently opened, and its scores have not yet been reported.
