This school district is only concerned with their sports teams winning district and making their standardized test scores look good. Academics is the least of their concern. They spend all year teaching the students how to take tests. Never go to the school and complain about anything because they will take it out on your child. The administration will not work with you to solve problems. They tell you one thing and then go behind your back and do what they want to. Advanced sutdents are left feeling frustrated due to the lack of advanced classes. Everything at this school is politically motivated. If you are not on the school board or some big shot in the community then your child will never get the recognition that they deserve. The teachers do not care about your child.

I believe the school should focus a lot more on academics than sports. Sports is good, but our children need better education.

As a teacher in the high school, I can attest to the district's commitment to academic excellence. Magnet Cove elementary certainly lives up to the district's high standards. The administration and faculty share a common vision and work together as a team toward that vision. My son could not even imagine attending another school. Magnet Cove is an academic family in which all building levels work to promote stellar citizenship and academic excellence. Mr. Eskola and the wonderful faculty of Magnet Cove elementary set the tone for this atmosphere, and as a parent of a child in this building, I am grateful for their compassion and dedication.
