manlia high is a great place to send anyone that wants to learn the new cutting edge things needed in this day in time that we live in and the teachers will try their hardest to help any student to make the best of thier skills.
Manila High School is overall a very good school. There have been many grads to go on to medical, law, dentistry, & optometry schools. Many have entered the military; many are now educators themselves. There are several who entered the nursing profession. Hopefully a drama and ROTC program will be added; also more sports, such as soccer, volleyball, and track. In the past MHS had a fine track team. Also I would like to see the band increase and once again become a marching band, as in the past. Teachers at this school tend to be local residents and extremely dedicated to their profession; also a good number of them have their masters in their preferred field. I do wish the science department was a little stronger with more qualified instructors to assist those already on board.
I believe that Manila Public Schools is doing the best they can to give the children the best education. I should know I graduated from Manila in 2000 and I do agree that Manila should have more sports in school but you can do it in a flip of the hand it takes money and organization to get it all done. I believe that manila will have just about everything that all other schools have in the near future. Manila is the best school i went to and I give them 5 stars
First of all manila needs more sports such as football,boy-girl track, volleyball, dance and flag team.
Well, actually I'm not a parent, I'm a student at Manila High School and currently in the ninth grade. I love our school. There's not a lot of diversity though. Our school is smaller than some but bigger than others, so I'd say it's about medium sized. In all, we have seven buildings, three gyms, a baseball field on campus, two basketball courts (not in gyms), and two playgrounds for the elementary. We have special ed courses, courses that help with subjects that might be more challenging such as Algebra, and we have Advanced Placement classes. We are scheduled to soon receive even more extracurricular activities, and classes such as Drama, psychology, and Survey of the Fine Arts. These classes will be implemented in the 2004-2005 school year. We have great, patient teachers and most are experienced such as our wonderful math teacher, Ms. Wells.
