We are very pleased with the equal amount of attention and respect given to 'non-custodial' parents such as ourselves. The faculty have kept us abreast of academics and school functions. It is important for educators to understand that both sets of parents are equally important for the benefit of the child especially if one parent lives many miles away.

This is a great school and school district to live in. People really care especially teachers like Ms.Lebow who cares if you go to college and make somthing of yourself.

Academics are great, Extracurricular activites are not. Too much social influence in cheerleading and sports. Some coaches are bad about playing favorites, bias toward their sport, thus punishing mutiple sport athletes.

The junior high faculty is very qualified and make learning fun for most of the students. OJHS faculty is concerned about every student. But the faculty cannot do it by themselves, parents have to be more involved with the students education especially in these critical years of junior high. Every child has a chance but it is up to the parents to follow through with the education of the their children. Mrs. Lebow has a math site for more exercises and reviews in algebra. This is a good place to live and a great place for students to get their education.

If you are not from a local, socially active family, seek education elsewhere. There is little help available for students who need it and motivation is quashed.
