Wonder Elementary School is filled with love and devotion from most of the teachers, all of the aides, the counselor, the assistant principal. The principal has a special kind of love for the whole staff. Some say, she doesn't love anyone but I say it's tough love. I know she wants everything for the school but somehow it doesn't show when it come to the school building improvements. The luch room is in bad shape, the breeze way is dangerous, sewage floates out of pipes in the back of building 3, and roaches are all over the place. Many teacher talk among themselves about how bad it is but they won't address it to the district. It is true that opinions from other are had to be taken into consideration for the most part. However, last year I know the Principal listened to my suggestion and they were used.

I think that the principals, teachers, and counselors are great! The school just needs a make-over on the cafeteria, play areas and just the whole building in itself.

This school has the potential to be great. The teachers are easily discouraged by lack of parent participation. They don't try to come up with ways to motivate parents to participate in the education of their children. The parents that are active are met with indifference and attitudes. There are great teachers at this school, however their work is overshadowed by the ones who choose to just show up for work and collect a paycheck. My child attends this school and it was a struggle all year long to get the principle's cooperation on anything. She is more interested in being right than being helpful. It is difficult for parents to participate when the school doesn't send home announcements and other pertinent information about what's happening at the school. Finally the fact that they have never had toilet paper or paper towels in the restrooms all year long is disgusting!
