I have a problem with the no bullying policy that is suppose to be inforced but evidently it's not being forced hard enough, I have been to the school quite a few times and both times nothing was done about my child being bullied. I think that the teachers are awesome and they do a great job with my child by helping me keep her on track and to make sure her grades are always brought up if they are down and they always keep me informed because I really want to make sure that she does her best and graduates and goes to college. I go to every meeting they need me to so we can discuss some of the things that she needs to work on and what she's having trouble in so I absolutely love her teachers, they have done an awesome job keeping my child on track.
Well i definatly think Rivecrest is a great school:)The athletic program is very great and they seam to be doing well.I think the teachers here are really cooperative and would help any student if they needed it.
Our focus is on the student.
I love Rivercrest its the best!
well my thought of Rivercrest is like this. It's a good school academic wise but for some reason or another we're missing out on something because our test scores are still not up to part as they should be. The teachers here some really care whether you make it not in life and try to encourage you to go on and do something good with your life and not just stop at High School for examle Mr. Patrick Adams. But from my point of view which others say is a fact the school focus more in sports than they do academics. But to this school is a fairly decent school.
i think rivercrest is a great school for any child to go to!
This school is more involved in sports than they are academics. They seem to focus more how to discipline children instead of actually teaching. There is no parental involvement at all! My son graduates soon and I will be so glad to get out of this district.
I graduated from Rivercrest and I thought this school was the best. All of my teachers then really helped me to understand that a good education was important. I have two children, one is in the seventh grade and the other is a nineth graded. They both love this school as much as I do. I am very impressed with the teachers and the other staff members. They showed me that they really care for our children. I would like to add that I am very proud to have graduated from here. Sincerely Cheryl Myers South.
When I attended RHS, I didn't think that much about it. Since graduating, I have found that RHS was a really good school. It had organization and opportunity. There were teachers as well as administrators that actually cared about the students. It was a safe place to learn, and I can say that I really did learn from that school. It offered extracurricular activities that were also very organized compared to other schools. I can say this because I have since been involved with many more school systems. If I could, I would definitely send my children to RHS. Go Colts!
As far as academics I don't really have any complaints. After seeing test scores from other schools I think we are obviously lacking in something. Maybe the focus should not be so much on 'sports and band' and more on academics. As for the administration, I think we can do better. I'm not fond of the 'closed mouth' policy these administrators seem to take with every situation. When a potentially dangerous situation occurs at that school I feel it is my RIGHT as a parent to be notified of what's going on. I should be given the opportunity to decide whether or not I want my daughter put back in that situation. Not informing the parents (not of the specific student) but of the situation in general only escalates the situation. Parents have a right to know, WHATEVER the situation may be.
