Wynne Intermediate is helpful, the teachers are willing to work with you to help your child/children succeed. My son teacher spend extra time sending work home to help him improve in areas he needs help in. The Principals will do everything they can to help students. Wynne Intermediate is the best school in Arkansas.
i think this a great school with allot of souport and effort WE CAN DO IT do wynne intermediate!
This school stinks! For years they've had the surrounding areas fooled into thinking they were so superior, but now the cat is out of the bag because the school information is public. Everyone can see just how it measures up tp other schools. Many other schoold have far better test scores than this school. Inside the school always smells like food, and some of the teachers scream, play, and laugh worse than the kids. The curriculum is too full. They use that stupid TERC for math, and the children are missing so much, and they don't do well when they get to sixth grade. There's hardly any homework, so the parents don't have a way to help their children. The cafeteria is very loud. I've been to the school looking for an administrator, to find NONE on campus. What if there were an emergency? That seems like it should be illegal.
One of my children has moved on from this school and the other is currently attending Wynne Intermediate. Both of my children are receiving a good education based on a rigorous curriculum. The math program is excellent in that it allows students to think and solve problems in a variety of strategies. My chldren function on a math level that at times amazes me. The reading program focuses on allowing students to read on their instructional level and progress to higher levels of achievement. The writing skills that my children have developed are the results of a great deal of time and instruction from the highly qualified teachers that my children have been fortunate to have. No school is perfect; however, no school is entirely responsible for a child's education. The value of a good education begins at home and is supported in the classroom. Wynne Intermediate supports our educational values.
I have had 2 children go through this school. Like all schools there are good & bad teachers. But I had to teacher my children on average 2-3 days a week because they did not understand it in class. Also, they do not stress writing skills. I worked on it at home, but the teachers would let it slide at school. Not my 6th grader prints like a 2nd grader. And both boys have very sloppy handwriting. I have even had teachers tell me that boys are just sloppy writers. But the schools are very safe. And they take the 'anti-bullying act' seriously.
I have children attending these Schools and I beleive that some teachers there do not spend enough time with the kids on explaining how to do their class work. They expect so much out of our children at an early age, that the kids are not doing so well because of it. They need to be taught on the level that they can understand.
