ACLC is a great place to work as a teacher. The staff is highly energized and engaged and has the time and dedication to form meaningful relationships with learners and watch them grow into leaders and life long learners.

I currently attend ACLC and this school is pretty unique. We have free periods, which prepares us for college. We also have a tight relationship with the 'facilitators'. Although, I think ACLC needs improvement for its physical education.

Outstanding programs the empower students to take charge of their own learning. It's like the best parts of the freedoms of college, while maintaining some of the parental supervision that will help these kids transition into higher levels of education with a better chance of success!

The democratic government that the school body adheres to, the 'out of box' approaches in teaching not only subjects, but lifeskills

I love that the student, or 'learners', as they are called, are inspired to become active participants in their own education. The teachers are called 'facilitators', and they act to facilitate the students in their quest for learning. Creative and independent thought is encouraged. Students are encourage to problem solve, work in groups, and also work independently. A fantastic learning opportunity

This school is the most accepting and different schools in the country. We've had people who are British and Norwegian come to check out our school. ACLC doesn't deserve five stars it deserves ten. One day I hope all schools can incorporate a learning system like ours.

We're a tight-knit community where kids from 6th-12th grade get along. Everyone's super friendly, and ACLC teaches kids that it's okay to get out there and be yourself; we teach each other confidence.

The ACLC is an innovative model that truly facilitates parents, students and teachers to work together to provide 21st century education. After 8 years on the faculty, I continue to be inspired by this learning community and look forward to seeing what our future holds. ACLC is proof that when families and educators are given choices, incredible learning can be the result!
